When you are salicylate sensitive, there is a spice tea you can still have.

SAFFRON TEA: bursting with polyphenols.

Ingredients:
1 pinch of saffron threads (about 8–10 threads)
1 teaspoon of rice malt syrup or pure maple syrup
Boiling hot water

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Soak the saffron
Add your saffron threads to a cup with a splash of warm water (not boiling). Let it sit for 10 minutes so the colour and flavour come alive.

2. Add the hot water
Pour hot water into the cup, filling it up.

3. Add the extras
Stir in your maple syrupy to sweeten the tea..

4. Sip slowly
Let it steep another 2–3 minutes, then drink warm… or chill it for a refreshing iced tea!

WHEN YOU HAVE A SALICYLATE SENSITIVITY but can tolerate moderate salicylate fruit.
