My biggest healing regret!!!

I took antibiotics for almost a year under Lyme-literate doctor advice. They did nothing to help Lyme...I was told it takes time so i persisted...
Two years later — my gut still isn’t the same.

I was desperate and did what I thought was right.
But chronic Lyme can’t be flogged with antibiotics.

Swollen Lymph Nodes vs. Stagnant Lymphatic System: Two Very Different Issues!

There’s a lot of confusion around tick bite reactions in Australia.

The bull’s-eye rash (erythema migrans) — a classic sign of Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi) — is rare in Australia.

What we see more often is an allergic reaction,especially with paralysis tick, which can look similar at first.

How to tell diference:

🕷 Allergy: Uneven edges, raised, hot, itchy skin, ozzing — often appears immediately after tick removal (especially if done incorrectly).
Allergic reactions don't automatically mean tick borne infection, however it definitely creates immunity havoc in immune compromised people.

🕷 Bull’s-eye rash: Flat, not as itchy or painful, expands slowly over days. More common in Europe & the USA.

Because they’re treated differently, it’s vital to understand the difference.

🕷Tick bites and Alpha-Gal: What you need to know

If you live on the South Coast (or anywhere ticks are common) and have ongoing digestive issues, you might need to rule out Alpha-Gal Syndrome — also known as mammalian meat allergy (MMA).

Alpha-Gal is a food allergy that can develop after a tick bite. It’s still poorly understood and often missed by doctors.

For some people, it’s obvious — they eat red meat and get hives, swelling, gut pain, or breathlessness.
But others only get mild, chronic symptoms: bloating, fatigue, brain fog, low mood.

Either way, strict avoidance of mammalian products is key.

WHY NOT?
Because removing a paralysis tick with tweezers can seriously backfire!

✔ In Europe or the US, tweezers might be fine.
✘ But Australian paralysis ticks are different.

🧊 They must be frozen on the spot with tick-freeze spray — not pulled out.

Paralysis ticks here have the longest, barbed mouthparts of any tick in the world. That anchors them deep in the skin — and makes them really hard to remove.

Using tweezers often squeezes or splits the tick, which triggers the release of neurotoxins. In 8 out of 10 cases, this causes severe long term allergy reactions and predisposed to developing tick borne infections.

🚫 There's still so much bad advice going around Australia— even from so-called "tick experts."
