The phrase ‘fed is best’ doesn’t tell the whole story. Feeding isn’t just about nutrition—it’s about connection, regulation, and development.

Fed is mandatory, its entry level. It’s not best. We want our babies to thrive, not just survive.

A tongue tie release is an important step, but it's not the complete solution many expect it to be. The procedure works best as part of a comprehensive approach that includes proper pre and aftercare, feeding support, and often bodywork. It's the start of your journey toward improved feeding, not the end.

Is there a point where it's no longer worth it? There is no minimum amount of breastmilk that is beneficial to you and your baby so reach out for support as there are many ways to feed and nurture your baby.

Tongue tie release. Some babies improve and some babies don't. Some babies never look back after a release and for others, it seems to makes no difference at all. Put in the comments why you think that might be.
