That sickening โpopโ in your knee. ๐ฆต
An ACL tear is one of the most common โ and most feared โ sports injuries, especially in footy, netball, soccer and basketball where sudden stops and twists are part of the game.
Signs to watch for:
๐น An audible snap or tearing sound at the time of injury
๐น Deep, hard-to-pinpoint pain in the knee
๐น A feeling of the knee โgiving wayโ
๐น Swelling and trouble putting weight on it
Not every ACL injury means surgery โ minor sprains can settle with the right hands-on care and rehab, while more serious tears need a proper plan to avoid longer-term issues down the track.
Whatever the severity, the earlier itโs assessed, the better. Our practitioners can help with rehab (pre- and post-surgery), mobility work, clinical Pilates and dry needling, tailored to where youโre at.
