Kylie Hicks - Chronic Pain Clinician

Kylie Hicks - Chronic Pain Clinician Specialising in chronic pain patterns with a focus on the nervous system. Repatterning pain is more than just your muscles. This allows pain to be reprogrammed.

Chronic pain clinician and developer of The Chronic Pain Mapping Method, an approach that integrates soft tissue adhesion treatment, behavioural profiling, and nervous system regulation to identify and repattern persistent chronic pain presentations. Chronic pain trains our nervous system to operate on high alert. Identifying the links between physical pain patterns and how the nervous system is i

nfluencing both behaviour and the body, makes it possible to regulate the signals. Kylie is a Master Practitioner in Neuro-linguistic programming and has advanced studies in trauma. Working with the nervous system and the psychology behind chronic pain, means treating the cause, rather than only the symptom. Kylie has 20 years experience and is a member of Massage & Myotherapy Australia. Our services are eligible for most Private Health insurance rebates under extras or ancillary. One of the things I hoped therapists would see is how powerful what we do really is❤️

Not just the techniques, but our ability to look beyond symptoms and see the human behind the chronic pain.
The case study I presented showed what becomes possible when we understand our client's nervous system, trauma, isolation, and the protective patterns that develop over decades.

A huge thank you to Massage & Myotherapy Australia for the award and to everyone who attended. Your curiosity, engagement and openness created such a warm room for me to present in💞

I’ve been awarded the 2026 Conference Case Study Scholarship at the Massage and Myotherapy National Conference on Multidisciplinary Healthcare for Chronic Pain.

Kind of ironic considering I’ve spent years saying I’m not technical enough to be a case study therapist.

Although after 25 years working solely with chronic pain, I’ve come to realise that the most important clinical changes happen when we stop chasing tissue alone and understand the nervous system, trauma behaviour and protection more clearly.

Pretty grateful for the opportunity to share this work at the conference!

After 25+ years of treating chronic pain!💆‍♀️🤣

• Likely to ask the most random questions!

• Laugh therapy is included free of charge🤣

• 25+ years… still occasionally forgetting what I walked into the room for

• May talk to your nervous system like it’s a third person in the room

• Reads body language like it’s a mystery novel

• Conversations may go off track… they’re not off track

• Will often say “wait, can you say that again” like it's a compliment

• Absolutely a pest to reception!!

• Will say almost done...when not almost done

• Some days have 20 tabs open in my brain and only 3 are working

Clients feel free to add😂🩵x

169 people on my waiting list😳

That's 169 people still searching for answers.
To every person waiting thank you for your patience.

And to the practitioners following my work… This is why we need more people who understand chronic pain beyond just tissue.

The need is bigger than ever🩵
