Every herbal extract begins with the raw herb itself. 🤲

The colour, aroma, texture and vitality of medicinal plants remain at the heart of everything we do. We source herbs from trusted growers and approved suppliers around the world, selecting raw materials for their quality, integrity and traditional character.

Because exceptional herbal medicine starts with exceptional plant material.

St Mary’s Thistle. 💜

Traditionally valued as a restorative liver herb, St Mary’s Thistle has long been used to support digestion, liver function and recovery following excess and overindulgence. Revered for centuries by traditional Western herbalists, it remains one of the most widely used herbs for hepatic support in modern clinical practice.

A herb with deep roots in both traditional folklore and contemporary herbal medicine.

From raw herb to finished extract. 🤎

Behind every amber bottle sits carefully sourced plant material, slow extraction and a manufacturing process designed to preserve the integrity of the whole plant. Our raw materials and finished extracts bookend a method that prioritises minimal processing, time and attention to detail, all within our TGA licensed facility.

Today we produce a range of 156 practitioner only liquid herbal extracts, including 14 exclusive extracts you won’t find anywhere else. Each one is made to support precise prescribing, personalised formulation and confident clinical use.

In the dispensary with our founder, Lyndsay Shume.

A fourth-generation herbalist, Lyndsay has been in clinical practice for over 60 years. 🌱

A little-known chapter of his story took him to the Philippines in 2001 with Australian Business Volunteers. There, he worked with the ICM Sisters Community, helping refine their herbal medicine processes and improve access for underprivileged patients.

Lyndsay introduced simple but effective changes from drying herbs under trees on hessian instead of buying expensive gas bottles to fire the ovens, to redesigning the dispensary to meet health standards. He remained connected long after, continuing to support their work and share his knowledge.

His legacy lives on in every extract we produce.

Perilla is a fragrant leaf from the mint family which has become a very popular foliage and salad herb plant. Long used across Asia, where it is known as shiso in Japan, Perilla has a rich traditional history in supporting allergies, asthma, digestion and inflammatory skin conditions. 💜

Modern research confirms what Eastern herbalists observed centuries ago. Clinical studies show that Perilla can reduce the nasal and eye symptoms of seasonal hay fever while lowering inflammatory white blood cells.

A beautiful example of food as medicine.
