✨As the start of January 2026 begins Rocking Hill Gallery is Celebrating 5 years and in doing this I wanted to share an Artist story about where I began my career untill know. 😊 Feel free to read or scroll on but for those that dont know much about me this is my story 🙂
✨I began my career in tattooing in 2009, driven by a lifelong love of art and creativity. From the very beginning, tattooing felt like the perfect way to express myself—creating meaningful, lasting artwork while connecting with people through their stories. I spent many years working in the industry, including over a decade in a busy shopfront studio at Wicked Ink in Orange, where I gained invaluable experience, refined my skills, and learned to adapt to a wide range of styles and clients.
Alongside my passion for tattooing, I’ve always had a deep love for cars. That passion grew into building and restoring my own HT Premier—another creative outlet where patience, precision, and vision come together, much like tattooing itself.
Life hasn’t always been simple. During my career, my husband and I faced the emotional and physical challenges of IVF while continuing to work and build our future. Through it all, I kept tattooing, and we were eventually blessed with our beautiful son—a chapter of my life that reshaped my perspective and strengthened my resilience.
Not many people may know me, and I’ve often felt like the odd one out in the industry. I’m naturally quiet, reserved, and not one to stand out in a crowd. But I’ve always loved listening, helping, and creating a safe, calm space for people. That connection—being trusted to turn someone’s idea into art—is something I never take lightly.
Artwork is my true passion, and tattooing is how I express it. I focus strongly on quality, detail, and constantly refining my skill, while always listening closely to what my clients want from their tattoos. People often ask what my favourite style is, but after working in a fast-paced studio environment for over ten years, it’s hard to choose just one. I’m especially drawn to fine line work, florals, and animals, but I also love pushing creativity—adding artistic or modern graffiti-inspired elements when the piece allows. One of my favourite tattoos I’ve ever created came from that style here at Rocking Hill Gallery.
Opening my own private studio was both a dream and one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done. Starting during the COVID lockdowns meant delays, stress, approvals, and licensing hurdles that tested my patience and determination. I began small, working from a converted hair salon at the front of our property. From there, my husband and I built a fully functioning, purpose-built private studio—Rocking Hill Gallery in Molong—where I proudly work today.
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me along the way. Every tattoo, every conversation, and every challenge has shaped not only my career, but who I am as an artist. I continue to grow, create, and learn, doing what I love every day—turning ideas into art that people carry with them for life.
