The online world feels like an onslaught of artificial chatter. An algorithmic cacophony of urgencies. Noise and voices, demanding attention, the news cycle gets shorter and shorter until its just a constant stream of sewage.

Give me the cacophony of wren and wagtail, the timeless rhythms of the forest and the quiet persistence of the amber-glass creek. I'll let the unworried chatter of tiny creatures quiet my fearful thoughts, and rinse off my grief in the stream.
