There’s a message that feels especially relevant to the collective right now:
Stop abandoning yourself to keep the peace.
We are moving through a time where what is false, forced, exhausted or no longer aligned is becoming increasingly difficult to carry. Relationships. Roles. Expectations. Old identities. Even the versions of ourselves we created simply to be accepted.
And perhaps the lesson isn’t to hold everything together.
Perhaps it is to become true enough to allow what cannot meet us there to fall away.
For generations, many of us learned that belonging meant adapting. Be agreeable. Don’t upset anyone. Don’t be too loud, too intuitive, too emotional, too powerful, too strange. Keep the peace — even when the price of that peace was ourselves.
But your nervous system knows when you are betraying your own truth.
The tight chest.
The exhaustion after certain conversations.
The resentment you cannot quite explain.
The heaviness that appears when your mouth says yes while every cell in your body is whispering no.
That is information.
Your intuition often speaks through the body long before the conscious mind is willing to listen.
And I feel this is something the collective needs to remember:
Not every ending is rejection.
Not every loss is punishment.
Not everyone who leaves is meant to be chased.
Sometimes life is simply clearing the path.
The witch in us understands this. 🌿
She knows there are seasons for growing and seasons for cutting back. She knows a forest does not apologise when it sheds what is dead. She knows transformation isn't always comfortable — but neither is remaining somewhere your soul has already outgrown.
So speak kindly, but speak truthfully.
Set the boundary.
Choose the path that feels like yours.
Stop shrinking your knowing so other people can remain comfortable with the version of you they understood.
Because anything that requires you to continually abandon yourself in order to keep it was never truly yours to keep.
And what remains when you become authentically you?
That is alignment.
Perhaps the great awakening isn't about becoming something more spiritual at all.
Perhaps it is simply about finally having the courage to come home to yourself. ✨🌿

🌿 BEFORE YOU OPEN UP, GROUND DOWN 🌿
If you practise psychic development, mediumship, witchcraft, divination, energy work, ritual or deep meditation, grounding isn't an optional extra. For me, it is part of good spiritual hygiene.
We spend a lot of time learning how to open — expanding awareness, developing intuition, sensing energy and reaching beyond the ordinary mind.
But if you're going to open, you also need to know how to come home.
Grounding brings your awareness out of your head and back into your body, breath, senses and physical environment. In witchcraft we might describe this as anchoring our energy to the Earth. From a naturopathic perspective, many of the practices we use for grounding also happen to be beautifully simple ways of supporting nervous-system regulation.
And there is science behind parts of this picture. Research on exposure to natural environments has found benefits for perceived stress and physiological measures associated with stress, while meditation and mindfulness practices have also been associated with changes in cortisol, heart rate and blood pressure.

So what does grounding actually look like?
🌿 Walk slowly through the garden or bush and deliberately notice what you can see, hear, smell and feel.
🌿 Stand barefoot on grass, sand or soil simply for the sensory experience of connecting with the Earth.
🌿 Sit with your back against a tree and breathe slowly into your belly.
🌿 Garden — get your hands into the soil, pull weeds, plant herbs, grow something.
🌿 Use the 5–4–3–2–1 technique: notice five things you see, four you can touch, three you hear, two you smell and one you taste.
🌿 Eat something nourishing and consciously experience its taste and texture.
🌿 Move your body — walk, stretch, dance, practise yoga or gently shake out excess tension.
🌿 In ritual, visualise roots extending from your feet deep into the Earth, releasing what you no longer need and drawing yourself firmly back into the present.
🌿 After psychic or energetic work, close the practice deliberately. Put the cards away. Extinguish the candle. Wash your hands. Drink water. Eat. Step outside. Feel your feet.
There is something wonderfully practical about that last part.
You don't have to stay spiritually “switched on” all the time.
The witch may call it returning energy to the Earth.
The naturopath may call it supporting regulation through nature, movement, nourishment and breath.
Science can examine stress physiology, attention, cortisol, heart rate and the autonomic nervous system.
Different languages. Different lenses. And sometimes they meet beneath the same tree. 🌳
The aim of spiritual development isn't to become so high-vibrational that you float away from being human.
It's to become more present within it.
Reach for the stars. Speak with Spirit. Trust your intuition. Work your magic.
But keep your roots deep.
Because a powerful intuitive doesn't just know how to walk between worlds.
She knows how to find her way home. 💚🌿

🌿 IF IT’S NOT KIND, I’M NOT INTERESTED. 🌿
The older I get, the less impressed I am by harshness disguised as honesty.
Harshness doesn't heal people.
Shame doesn't regulate a nervous system.
Criticism doesn't make a wounded part of us feel safe enough to change.
Safety does. Compassion does. Kindness does.
Nature has always understood this.
You don't scream at a plant because it hasn't flowered yet.
You tend the soil.
You give it water, warmth, minerals, medicine and time.
Perhaps we could offer ourselves the same grace.
And don't mistake my kindness for weakness.
The witch knows better. 💚
She knows when to offer the herb...
when to light the candle...
when to sit quietly beside someone...
and when to close the gate and walk away.
Kindness can have boundaries.
Kindness can have claws.
Kindness can say NO and mean it.
The most powerful medicine isn't always found in the apothecary.
Sometimes it's the way we speak to another human being.
And sometimes...
it's the way we finally learn to speak to ourselves.
Be soft where softness heals.
Be fierce where fierceness protects.
But don't become cruel just because the world once was cruel to you.
If it's not kind, I'm not interested.💚💫

🌿 A MESSAGE FROM YOUR HIGHER SELF 🌿
Sometimes the guidance you’re searching for isn’t going to arrive as a booming voice from the heavens.
Sometimes it arrives as a feeling.
A tightening in your stomach.
A sudden sense of peace.
A thought that keeps returning.
A deep tiredness around something you’ve outgrown.
Or an inexplicable spark of energy when you move towards something that feels right.
From a naturopathic perspective, I’ve always found this fascinating because the body and the intuitive self are not separate conversations.
When we are exhausted, overstimulated, undernourished or living in prolonged stress, the nervous system can become so busy scanning for danger that it becomes difficult to hear the quieter signals within us.
So perhaps connecting with your higher self doesn’t always require another ritual, another reading or another answer from outside yourself.
Perhaps sometimes it looks like...
🌿 eating food that genuinely nourishes you
🌿 getting outside and putting your feet on the earth
🌿 supporting your nervous system with rest and gentle movement
🌿 drinking your herbs slowly instead of rushing through the day
🌿 breathing deeply enough for your body to realise it is allowed to soften
🌿 sitting quietly without needing to fill every moment with noise
And then asking:
“What do I already know?”
Because intuition rarely screams.
Fear does.
Conditioning does.
Other people’s expectations certainly can.
But that deeper knowing?
It tends to wait quietly underneath all of it.
Your higher self may not be somewhere above you at all.
Perhaps she is the wisest, most regulated, most deeply connected part of you—waiting patiently for enough stillness to finally be heard.
🌿✨ Quiet the noise. Nourish the body. Listen within. You may discover that the guidance you’ve been asking for has been whispering through you all along.

28/08/2026

🌿 YOUR BODY IS NOT THE ENEMY — IT’S PART OF THE CONVERSATION 🌿
Your body is not punishing you.
You did not “think yourself sick.”
And being unwell does not mean you have failed to heal, failed to be positive, or somehow created your illness. Its not a lack of exercise, or failing to be what someone thinks is healthy.
Sometimes bodies simply become unwell — and physical symptoms always deserve appropriate medical investigation and care.
But there is another piece of the puzzle we shouldn’t ignore:
Stress has physiology. Grief, betrayal, anger, frustration
When we live for long periods in worry, grief, overwhelm, hypervigilance or emotional exhaustion, the body has to carry the biological effects of that experience.
Muscles tighten.
Sleep can change.
Digestion can become unsettled.
Energy can disappear.
Our breathing becomes shallower.
And a nervous system that rarely feels safe may struggle to fully switch into rest, repair and restoration.
That doesn’t mean “it’s all in your head.”
Quite the opposite.
It means what happens in your mind and nervous system can also be experienced in your body.
So alongside appropriate medical care, I love asking:
What would help this body feel supported today?
🌿 Nourishing whole foods and adequate protein
🌿 Magnesium-rich foods such as leafy greens, nuts, seeds and legumes
🌿 Herbal teas such as chamomile, lemon balm or passionflower for gentle relaxation*
🌿 Morning sunlight and time outside
🌿 Slow breathing with a longer exhale
🌿 Gentle walking, stretching or movement rather than always pushing harder
🌿 Good hydration and regular meals
🌿 Rest before reaching complete exhaustion
🌿 Journalling, meditation, hypnotherapy or talking with someone safe
🌿 Creating small moments every day where the nervous system receives the message: you can soften here.
And sometimes healing involves looking beneath the physical symptom too — not to find something to blame, but to become curious about what we've been carrying.
Medicine can treat the body.
Nutrition can nourish it.
Rest can restore it.
And awareness can help us understand it.
Healing doesn't have to be either science or the unseen.
There is room for both. 🌿✨
Your body isn't betraying you.
Perhaps sometimes, in the only language it has,
it is asking you to listen.

🌿✨ 10 WAYS TO STRENGTHEN YOUR NATURAL INTUITION ✨🌿

Intuition isn't something reserved for psychics, healers or the spiritually gifted.

It's something we all have.

The trouble is, life gets noisy. We become so accustomed to looking outside ourselves for answers that we can forget how to hear the quiet wisdom already within us.

If you've been feeling disconnected from your inner knowing, try bringing some of these simple practices into your day:

🌙 1. Create moments of silence
Intuition rarely shouts. Give yourself a few minutes each day without phones, television, music or conversation and simply listen.

🌿 2. Spend time in nature
Walk barefoot on the earth. Sit beneath a tree. Watch the clouds. Nature has a beautiful way of bringing us out of the thinking mind and back into the body.

💜 3. Pay attention to your body's response
Notice the tightening in your stomach, the sudden calm, the goosebumps, the feeling of expansion or contraction. Your body often knows before your logical mind catches up.

🔥 4. Clear your space
Use smoke, herbs, sound, fresh air, oils or simply a good physical clean. Creating a calmer environment can make it easier to notice your own thoughts and feelings.

📝 5. Keep an intuition journal
Write down dreams, synchronicities, sudden thoughts and those little “I just knew…” moments. Looking back can help you recognise your own intuitive language.

🌹 6. Stop asking everyone else first
Before seeking another person's opinion, quietly ask yourself:
“What do I already know about this?”

🖤 7. Become comfortable with your shadow
Intuition and fear can sometimes feel remarkably similar. Learning your triggers, patterns and old wounds helps you recognise the difference between an intuitive warning and an old protective response.

🌙 8. Create a simple ritual
Make herbal tea. Light a candle. Use a favourite oil. Sit with a crystal. Pull an oracle card. The object isn't where your power lives — the ritual simply gives you permission to become still enough to hear yourself.

✨ 9. Notice what keeps repeating
A word. A dream. A symbol. A particular animal. A conversation that keeps circling back. Don't obsess over signs, but do become curious about the patterns appearing in your life.

🌳 10. Trust the small nudges
Intuition becomes easier to recognise when we actually respond to it. Start small. Take the different road. Make the phone call. Rest when your body asks you to rest. Say no when something doesn't feel right.

Your intuition doesn't need to become louder.

Your world may simply need to become quieter.

And perhaps the journey isn't about becoming more intuitive at all…

Perhaps it's about remembering that you always were. 🌿🌙

🌕✨ FULL MOON ECLIPSE — RELEASE & RENEWAL TEA ✨🌿

There are some Full Moons that illuminate.

And then there are those that ask us to let something go.

This Full Moon Eclipse feels like an invitation to sit quietly with yourself and ask:

What am I still carrying that I no longer need to take with me?

Not everything needs to be healed, analysed or understood to death. Sometimes we simply recognise that something has served its purpose… take the wisdom from it… and release the weight.

So make yourself a little ritual tea. 🌿

Full Moon Eclipse Tea

🌿 1 tsp Nettle Leaf
🌿 1 tsp Lemon Balm
🌼 1 tsp Chamomile
🔥 ½ tsp Ginger
🌹 ½ tsp Rose Petals
🌿 ½ tsp Peppermint
🍋 A strip of fresh Lemon Peel
🍯 Raw honey if desired

Pour 600–700 mL freshly boiled water over the herbs, cover and allow to steep for 8–10 minutes. Strain, sit somewhere peaceful and hold your cup between both hands.

Before you drink, choose one thing you are ready to stop carrying.

A fear.
An old story.
Someone else's expectation.
A resentment.
A habit.
A version of yourself you've outgrown.

Then quietly say:

✨ I release what has completed its purpose.
I keep the wisdom and relinquish the weight.
I make space for what is ready to find me. ✨

Drink one cup as your release…

and save another for the following morning as your renewal.

Because perhaps cleansing isn't always about removing something from the body.

Sometimes it's about finally putting down what the soul has been carrying for far too long. 💚🌿

25/08/2026

There comes a point in your healing when you stop asking…

“Was it something I said?”
“Did I do something wrong?”
“Are they upset with me?”
“Should I have been different?”

For some of us, this has been a lifelong pattern.

We learned to read the room.
To notice the change in someone’s voice.
To feel the shift in their energy.
To wonder whether we needed to explain ourselves, fix something, smooth things over or somehow become more acceptable.

And somewhere along the way, we began carrying responsibility for emotions that were never ours to carry.

But emotional maturity teaches us something incredibly freeing:

Not every reaction to you is actually about you.

Sometimes you are simply standing in front of someone while they are fighting a battle within themselves.

Their withdrawal may be about their fear.
Their criticism may come from their own wounds.
Their inability to understand you may have nothing whatsoever to do with your worth.

That doesn’t mean we stop reflecting on our own behaviour. There is enormous wisdom in being able to say, “I could have handled that differently.”

But there is an equally important wisdom in knowing when you have done nothing wrong.

And perhaps this Pisces Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse on August 28 is a beautiful symbolic moment to release some of that old emotional weight.

Pisces speaks the language of intuition, sensitivity and surrender.

So perhaps the question now isn't:

“How do I make them understand me?”

Perhaps it is:

“Why do I still need them to?”

There is such freedom in no longer auditioning for acceptance.

You don't need everyone to approve of your choices.

You don't need everyone to understand the path you are walking.

You don't need to shrink your intuition, soften your boundaries or abandon pieces of yourself simply to remain comfortable for other people.

The Black Panther does not walk through the forest asking every creature whether she has permission to take up space.

She knows who she is.

Quiet.
Observant.
Powerful.
Discerning.

She doesn't react to every noise in the darkness.

And neither must you.

This eclipse season, perhaps the thing being eclipsed isn't another person, relationship or circumstance at all.

Perhaps it is the old version of you who believed that being liked was the same thing as being worthy.

Let her rest.

You know better now.

Your worth was never waiting for someone else's approval.

There is a place where natural medicine and the mystical meet… and I have always believed we were never meant to separate the two. 🌿🌙🦉💚

Long before we had laboratories and textbooks, people watched the rhythms of nature.

They noticed how the body responded to light and darkness, to plants and seasons, to rest, stress, food, breath and sleep.

And they also paid attention to dreams, symbols, intuition and the quiet messages that seemed to rise from somewhere deeper within.

Perhaps wisdom has always lived in both worlds.

The Owl in this image represents that ability to see beneath the obvious — to become still enough to notice what the conscious mind may overlook.

And the Black Panther represents something I work with constantly in hypnotherapy and natural healing: the shadow.

Not something frightening or negative.

The shadow is simply the part of us that holds what has been pushed down, protected, forgotten or left unresolved.

Our subconscious remembers far more than our conscious mind can comfortably hold.

And sometimes it speaks through the body.

A clenched jaw.
Shallow breathing.
A racing heart.
A stomach that knots when we feel unsafe.
Exhaustion after living too long in survival mode.

The nervous system has its own language.

And sometimes the subconscious speaks through dreams instead.

Through strange landscapes, recurring animals, people from long ago, forests, houses, water, darkness, flight…

Symbols that may make very little sense to the logical mind, yet somehow carry a feeling we recognise immediately.

This is where I believe the naturopath and the mystic can sit beautifully beside one another.

We nourish the physical body.

We support the nervous system.

We use herbs, nutrition, minerals, essential oils, breath, sleep and the medicines of the natural world.

But we also become curious about the person living inside that body.

What are they carrying?

What are they suppressing?

What does their nervous system believe it must protect them from?

What keeps appearing in their dreams?

What does their intuition already know?

The Owl says, look deeper.

The Panther says, do not fear the darkness.

And Nature quietly reminds us…

Healing isn't always about fighting the symptom.
Sometimes it begins by listening to what the whole person has been trying to tell us. 🌿🌙

YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS IS ALWAYS LISTENING… 🌿✨

One of the most fascinating things about the subconscious mind is that it responds powerfully to what we vividly imagine, not only to what is physically happening around us.

Close your eyes and remember something that frightened you. Your heart may begin to race. Your muscles tighten. Your breathing changes.

Nothing is happening right now — and yet your body responds to the picture your mind is holding.

The nervous system can activate many of the same stress responses — hormones, neurotransmitters and physical sensations — whether the threat is happening in front of you or being vividly remembered, imagined or anticipated.

And that is why becoming the observer of your thoughts is such powerful medicine.

Not every thought deserves to become a belief.
Not every fear deserves rehearsal.
Not every old story deserves another chapter.

Notice the conversations you repeatedly have in your own mind.

"Something will go wrong."
"I'm always struggling."
"I can't do this."
"Nothing ever works out for me."

Your subconscious doesn't sit there debating your words like your conscious mind does. It learns through repetition, emotion, imagery and association.

So perhaps we need to become a little more intentional about what we continually rehearse.

Instead of constantly imagining what could go wrong, begin allowing yourself to imagine:

✨ What if it works?
🌿 What if my body can soften here?
✨ What if I am capable of handling what comes?
🌿 What would peace actually feel like in my body?
✨ What if the future doesn't have to look like the past?

This isn't about pretending difficult things don't exist or forcing yourself into "positive thinking."

It's about recognising when you're repeatedly asking your body to live through something that isn't actually happening.

Become the witness.

Catch the thought.
Question the story.
Change the picture.
Breathe differently.
Choose again.

Because sometimes the most important question isn't "What am I asking the Universe for?"

It's…

"What am I repeatedly teaching my subconscious to expect?"

Your inner world is listening.

Speak to it wisely. 🌙🌿
