We know it can be frustrating to press pause, but giving your body time to heal is part of your journey!
Here is a general guide to what a typical get back to normal timeline looks like:
1-2 Weeks: Rest up baby! We highly encourage taking at least two weeks off work to rest
3-4 Weeks: You’ll likely feel ready to ease back into your normal daily activities.
6 Weeks: No heavy lifting until this point!
Do you work a physically demanding job? If your day-to-day requires a lot of exertion or heavy lifting, this 3-4 week portion will look a little different. Your surgeon will work directly with you to map out exactly when you can safely return to light duties as a short transition!
Your capacity to return to work is always assessed individually during your follow-up appointments with Dr Lara to ensure you are returning safely.
