The proposed reforms place greater emphasis on participants accessing family, community, health, and education supports before funded NDIS supports.

This has raised questions for many families.

What happens when informal supports aren't available?
What if family members are already stretched thin?

While many details are still unknown, these are important conversations being discussed across the sector.

Understanding the proposed changes helps participants and families prepare for future discussions.

What questions do you have about informal supports?

Choice and control aren't just NDIS principles.

They're important parts of everyday life.

What we do.
Where we go.
Who supports us.
How we spend our time.

At Coralville Care, we believe support should empower people to make decisions that reflect their goals, preferences, and individuality.

Because your life should always remain your choice.

What does choice and independence mean to you?

Not all disabilities are visible.

Many people live with conditions that may not be obvious to others but still have a significant impact on daily life.

Some participants and advocacy groups have raised questions about how the proposed reforms may affect people with invisible disabilities.

While details remain unclear, these conversations remind us why understanding individual experiences matters.

Every person's situation is unique.
Every person's support needs are valid.

What do you wish more people understood about invisible disabilities?

For many families, disability support isn't just about finding help.

It's about finding people they can trust.

People who communicate.
People who care.
People who genuinely want the best outcomes.

At Coralville Care, we understand the responsibility that comes with supporting someone's loved one.

And we never take that trust for granted.

What qualities do you value most in a support team?

Sometimes the biggest difference isn't what support workers do.

It's how they make someone feel.

Feeling comfortable.
Feeling respected.
Feeling confident enough to be yourself.

Those moments matter.

At Coralville Care, we believe meaningful support starts with genuine relationships built on trust, understanding, and respect.

Because everyone deserves to feel valued.

What makes you feel comfortable and supported?

# # # NDIS 2026โ€“27 Price Guide Update

The NDIS has released its new Price Guide for 2026โ€“27, and while there are some changes behind the scenes, most participants won't notice any major differences to the supports they receive.

Some key points:

โœ… Support worker pricing has increased slightly to reflect rising wages and the increasing costs of delivering quality supports.

โœ… Some therapy services have had their pricing reviewed, with a mix of increases and decreases depending on the profession.

โœ… Support Coordination pricing remains largely unchanged.

โœ… The biggest proposed change is a new pricing difference between registered and unregistered providers. The NDIS has recognised that registered providers operate under much stricter quality, safety and compliance requirements.

โœ… From January 2027, unregistered providers delivering social and community participation supports are expected to receive a 10% reduction in pricing, while registered providers will maintain their current pricing and continue to receive future indexation increases.

What does this mean?

The NDIS is sending a clear message that quality and safeguards matter. Registered providers invest heavily in staff training, compliance, audits, incident management, participant protections and quality systems to ensure participants receive safe and reliable supports.

As a registered provider, Coralville Care welcomes changes that recognise the additional responsibilities involved in maintaining high standards of care and support for our community.

With so much discussion about NDIS reforms, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.

But here's something important to remember:

The proposed reforms are still proposals.

Many details are not yet final.
Many questions remain unanswered.
Many changes may still occur before any legislation is implemented.

The best thing participants and families can do right now is stay informed, ask questions, and seek reliable information.

At Coralville Care, we'll continue sharing practical updates that focus on what matters most to participants and families.

One of the most powerful questions we can ask is:

"What matters to you?"

Because great support isn't about telling people what they should do.

It's about understanding what's important to them.

At Coralville Care, we believe every person's goals, choices, and aspirations deserve to be at the centre of their support journey.

What matters most to you right now?

๐ŸŒŸ Coralville Care Spotlight โ€“ Lexi ๐ŸŒŸ

This week weโ€™d like to recognise Lexi for the incredible effort she has been putting into her role at Coralville Care.

Lexi is currently completing her Certificate III and is due to finish in the next few weeks. While studying and building her skills, she has willingly taken on a range of cleaning shifts and embraced every opportunity to learn and grow.

Over the past few months, weโ€™ve watched her transition from buddy shifts alongside experienced team members to confidently supporting participants independently. Itโ€™s been wonderful to see her confidence and capability develop.

Last week, when several team members were unexpectedly off sick, Lexi didnโ€™t hesitate to put her hand up and help. This meant a huge day, moving between multiple participants and stepping in wherever she was needed. Her flexibility, commitment, and positive attitude ensured our participants continued to receive the support they rely on.

One of the things we are most passionate about at Coralville Care is nurturing local talent and helping people build meaningful careers in the care sector. Seeing young people like Lexi grow into confident, compassionate support workers is incredibly rewarding.

We are very proud of everything Lexi has achieved so far and feel incredibly fortunate to have her as part of the Coralville Care family.

Thank you, Lexi, for your hard work, dedication, and willingness to always step up when needed. ๐Ÿ’™
