The Root Chakra is one I feel most connected with. Stabilizing and clearing this chakra is highly noticeable.

As promised yesterday, we’ll start with our series about the chakras.
The first of the seven major chakras is the Root Chakra, symbolised by a lotus with four petals and the colour red. It’s associated with the element of Earth-the basis of life.
A balanced root chakra creates a solid foundation for the six chakras above. Confidence in who we are and whom we trust are functions of the root chakra. The chakra is located at the base of the spine and includes legs, bones, feet, re**um, colon, adrenal gland and kidneys.
Anxiety, fear, nightmares, eating disorders, negativity, being constipated or suffering from lower back pain may be indicators for unbalanced root chakra. By reconnecting with nature (gardening, cooking, having a walk, Yoga, meditation), we can balance and strengthen the chakra.

Food & Herbs – for example carrots, cherries, garlic, ginger, ginseng, onion, potatoes, radish, strawberries, turmeric
Aromatherapy – for example cinnamon, frankincense, ginger, patchouli, myrrh, cedar
Crystals – all red gemstones incl. bloodstone, garnet, hematite, red jasper, ruby

…can help to unblock this chakra and may promote general wellbeing.
