So here’s the truth bomb 💣 you didn’t ask for but probably need…

I didn’t wake up one day sipping herbal tea thinking:
“Oh wow, I should be a relationship therapist, trauma coach and Feng Shui fairy.”
Nah babe… I was broken, bruised, and DONE. Gaslighting. Narcissists in sheep’s clothing. And let’s not forget the cherry on top – being bashed emotionally and physically by people who called it "love." I did what we’re told to do:
Therapists, GPs, counsellors...
And while some were fab, others just handed me a box of tissues and a trauma label. But you know what I found? The only person who can truly hold me… is me. So I went all in. Studied. Healed. Screamed into a pillow. Burned some sage. Burned some bridges too. And built myself from the ground up, the way I needed.

☕ HERE'S THE PROBLEM I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT...

We all talk about supporting local business.

But how well do we actually know the businesses around us?

You might know there's a great café in town...

But do you know the photographer who could help your customer?

The florist who could create something special for an event?

The tour operator who could give your visitor an experience they'll remember?

The accommodation provider who needs more local referrals?

The accountant, hairdresser, mechanic, retailer, maker, artist or service provider who could be exactly what someone is looking for?

🤔 Sometimes the problem isn't that local businesses don't want to support each other.

It's that we simply don't know enough about each other.

And there's another problem...

Networking can sometimes become:

"Here's my business card."

"Here's what I do."

"Hopefully someone sends me a customer."

And then everyone goes home.

I'm interested in something different.

What if we actually got to know the people behind the businesses?

What if we knew what they offered, who they were trying to reach and when we could genuinely recommend them?

What if supporting local businesses became something we actively did, rather than something we simply talked about?

🌱 That's the idea I've been exploring.

I'm interested in creating connections between businesses across our regional communities — not just in one town.

And the places in between.

FACE IT 👀 | A Chinese Face Reading Example
She asked me if I could read her face and was happy for me to share an example of what I look for in Chinese Face Reading.
So here we go… and I hope you enjoy the insight. ✨
First, let's look at the overall shape and structure of her face.
Her face has a lovely balance between softness and strength. In traditional Chinese Face Reading, this combination can suggest someone who may appear calm or reserved on the outside but has a great deal going on beneath the surface.
👁 THE EYES
Even behind her glasses, her eyes appear focused and observant.
Traditionally, the eyes are associated with how we take in the world around us. Her gaze gives the impression of someone who watches, thinks and assesses before completely opening up.
She may notice more than people realise. 👀
🏔 THE FOREHEAD
Her forehead appears fairly balanced and open.
In traditional face reading, the forehead is often connected with early life, thinking patterns and how a person approaches learning and planning.
This can suggest someone who prefers to understand things for herself rather than simply accepting what everyone else says.
👃 THE NOSE
The nose is traditionally associated with areas such as confidence, resources and the way a person handles practical matters.
Her nose appears balanced with the rest of her facial features, which, in traditional interpretation, can suggest a practical nature and someone who may prefer to build things steadily rather than gamble everything on one big opportunity.
💋 THE MOUTH
Her lips have a defined shape, which can traditionally be associated with someone who has strong feelings and opinions but may not always reveal everything they are thinking immediately.
There can be a difference between what she says and what she is actually processing internally.
And honestly… those are often the people you need to listen to carefully when they finally decide to speak. 😂
🔮 THE CHIN AND LOWER FACE
The lower part of the face traditionally represents later life, security and how we seek stability.
Her chin appears softly shaped rather than overly prominent, which can traditionally suggest adaptability. She may not always need life to follow one rigid plan and could find that some of her best opportunities come through unexpected changes.
✨ This is only a small example of what can traditionally be explored through Chinese Face Reading.
A full reading looks at much more than simply saying, “You have this shape of nose, so this is who you are.”
I look at the whole face, how the features work together, balance, proportion and the different areas traditionally connected with different stages and aspects of life.

WHAT IF THE BUSH IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING? 🌿

☕ BEHIND THE SCENES… SOMETHING IS BREWING IN ECHUCA.
I've been getting out and about, meeting local businesses and thinking about something that I believe could create some wonderful opportunities for our local community.
Because here's the thing...
We often say we want to support local businesses.
But what if we actually got to know them?
What if we knew what each other did, who we could help and when it might be appropriate to recommend someone else's business?
I'm exploring an idea based around connection, collaboration and actively supporting one another.
Not just collecting business cards.
Not just turning up and hoping someone sends customers your way.
But building genuine relationships and learning:
✨ Who are you? ✨ What does your business do? ✨ Who are the right people for your business? ✨ And how can we support each other?
I'm currently networking, visiting local businesses and having conversations as I explore this idea.
And I'm looking for people who believe that when local businesses work together, everyone has the potential to grow.

🌸 THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS | WHY I CREATED THIS MAGNOLIA VIDEO
Have you ever looked closely at a flower and wondered whether there might be more to its story?
This is why I created my short video featuring the Magnolia flower and its stem.
For centuries, people have explored flowers through symbolism, folklore and the fascinating traditions sometimes known as The Language of Flowers.
A flower wasn't always simply chosen because it was beautiful.
Its colour, condition, direction, stem and even the way it was presented could inspire questions, stories and interpretations.
🌸 In this Magnolia video, I have explored some of the folklore, symbolism and traditional predictions associated with the flower and its stem.
Not as absolute facts.
Not as guarantees of the future.
But as part of an old and fascinating tradition that encourages us to slow down, look closer and ask questions.
Because sometimes the most interesting part isn't simply looking at the flower...
🌿 It's noticing what you may have previously overlooked.

🌿 A QUESTION FOR YOUR FLOWERS...
When you look at a bouquet, where do your eyes go?
The petals?
The colour?
The bloom?
But what about the end of the stem?
🌸 What if the journey of that flower had something else to say?
The way a flower has been cut, carried, arranged, or reached the end of its stem can become part of the story we explore during a Floral Reading.
And if those flowers were given to you by someone else...
Could the arrangement invite you to reflect on how they may be feeling within the relationship?
👀 Next time you receive flowers, don't just look at the bloom.
Look closer.
Look at the stem.
Look at where the journey ended.
Because sometimes the part we overlook is the part that makes us ask the most interesting questions.

🌿 SOMETIMES, YOU DON'T NEED TO GO ANYWHERE.
You just need to stop.
A wildflower in your fingers.
The sound of the gum trees moving in the breeze.
A magpie somewhere in the distance.
The warmth of the afternoon sun on your skin.
And for a moment… nothing needs fixing.
This is one of the things I love about being out on Country.
Nature doesn't always give you an answer.
Sometimes it simply gives you a moment to notice.
The flower.
The breeze.
The sound.
Your own breath.
And perhaps there's more to that little wildflower than first meets the eye… 🌸
