Wheelchair basketball means so much more to me than just watching my daughter play a sport. It’s watching her be part of something where she is surrounded by love, encouragement, friendship and acceptance.

Seeing her out on that court, working alongside her teammates, cheering each other on and being supported no matter what, fills my heart in a way I can’t fully put into words. This team isn’t just a team—they’re like a little family.

Wheelchair basketball has given her more than a sport. It has given her confidence, friendships, memories and a place where she can be herself. And for me, watching her be part of such a loving and supportive team means absolutely everything. ❤️🏀

Emmeliah loves wheelchair basketball, so much so, that her dad manufactured her a paediatric basketball sports chair in bright pink!
