It’s a good week for women’s hormones ☺️🎉

PMOS is here and it’s kicking PCOS to the kerb!

Finally a much more holistic and whole body approach label to such a multi-system and faceted condition that affect up to 19% of women worldwide.

This is one of the topics we’ll be unpacking at Thursday’s Healthy Hormones Workshop — understanding what your hormones are actually trying to tell you, and how to support them with real food, metabolism, nervous system support and practical everyday changes that actually feel achievable.

Okayyyy the vibes at the Winter Ready Workshop were actually unmatched ✨

A room full of people learning, laughing, sipping immune shots, asking thoughtful questions and having those little “that makes so much sense now” moments all night long 🤍

We’re still coming down from the energy in the room. The cosy setup at .place , the chats afterwards, the excitement, the warmth, the feeling of everyone being so ready to take their health seriously heading into winter.

Honestly could’ve talked for another 3 hours 🫶🏼(but that’s very much in character!)

A massive thank you to all our friends and family who supported us along the way and who came and made the very first workshop in the new space feel so special. ☺️

And of course to my co-host for jumping in to the flames with me 🔥😂 and crushing it her first time presenting! 🎉

I don’t take things “just because they’re good for you.” Everything has a role, a reason, and a window where it actually makes sense.

Right now, this is what my body is asking for.

Zinc — for during & post cold, zinc is crucial for over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body — many to do with immunity. During and after a cold, zinc stores are zapped dry and loss of taste occurs. Skin, repair, immune signalling, even taste and appetite… it touches more than most people realise.

Methylated B vitamin complex — are there to support energy properly but with that over-stimulated mumma life — I’ve been experience that classic “wired but flat” feeling as my b-vitamins deplete quicker.

Magnesium with theanine — This is to shhh that racing mind at the end of the day and bring about a deeper, more restorative sleep (especially when waking for breastfeeding!). I’ve only been taking this for a few days and it has already restored my energy MASSIVELY! Particularly first thing in the morning!

Omega 3s — essential and deeply supportive for mood, skin, hormones, and cell membranes. I’ve been breastfeeding for 4 years now and have experienced dry skin and brain fog of late (tell tale depletion signs). This is to stock back up.

The probiotic is specific — there are so many different strains of probiotic for numerous different functions. There is no one-size fits all. This strain of lactobacillus has been proven to support both my gut and immune function and also pass on that flora to Bub’s developing gut diversity.

Bacopa (CDRI 08) — is in for cognitive support. Think focus, clarity, and a calmer mind without pushing the system harder. Especially in seasons of a lot of mental load. A bit of an experiment this month but I thought it was worth a go!

None of this is about doing more. It’s about being targeted. Supplements should feel like support — not another layer of noise.

I’m day 3 of a cold right now (yes I 100% see the complete irony of having a cold and running an immunity workshop! 😅🤦‍♀️)

Your immune system ramps up inflammation to deal with the pathogen — but what actually determines how quickly you recover is how well your body can clear that inflammatory load.

This is where two really simple things matter more than people realise…

☀️Sunlight → vitamin D acts more like a hormone than a vitamin. It helps regulate your immune response so you’re not stuck in that prolonged, dragging inflammation phase.

If you live in Victoria, and aren’t outside for work or supplementing Vitamin D, I promise you, you are deficient in Vitamin D. It’s not your fault, it’s just because of where we are located on the planet.

In theory to absorb adequate Vitamin D, you need to be outside for 3 hours in winter with BOTH your arms and legs exposed to sunlight — YIKES! ❄️🥶

🧘‍♀️Movement → your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like your heart. It relies on your body moving, your muscles contracting, your breath shifting pressure — that’s what physically moves immune cells, waste, and fluid out of tissues.

This doesn’t mean smash a workout.
I’m talking gentle walks, fresh air, a bit of yoga and getting sunlight on your skin.

Supporting your body through a cold isn’t about shutting symptoms down it’s about giving your system what it needs to resolve the inflammation properly.

Because that’s what actually gets you feeling like yourself again ❤️

I mean... how many times have I used geometry since leaving school...zero 😮‍💨

But the truth is when you start understanding your cycle (and working with it instead of against it, everything changes. Your energy, moods, cravings, bloating even your confidence. 🤩
