"Do I have to attend every single week?"

Yes — and we're not going to dress that up.

BNI asks for weekly attendance because the whole model runs on trust, and trust takes repetition to build. The member who shows up every Thursday becomes the one the chapter thinks of first when a referral opportunity comes up. That doesn't happen by dropping in occasionally.

That said, life happens — substitutes are allowed when you genuinely can't make it, so you're covered.

Is it a real commitment? Absolutely. Is it the kind that pays off for the people who make it? Ask any long-term member.

Things from this morning worth keeping:

🧹 Tess Brown shared a great reminder that sometimes, a new chapter starts with simply deciding you want something different.

After working as a prison warden, Tess decided to step away from the 9-to-5 and build something of her own — starting a cleaning business focused on Airbnb and commercial cleaning.

Her presentation was a great look at the journey of building a business from the ground up, figuring things out as you go, and creating a life you actually enjoy.

And of course, the prison stories and plenty of laughs made it a presentation worth remembering! 😄
