EXPERIENCED SIL TEAM LEADERS WANTED

Pearsons Services is looking for experienced SIL Team Leaders to join our supported independent living homes across Adelaide’s southern suburbs.

And when we say experienced, we mean someone who really understands SIL — someone who knows what a well-run home should look and feel like.

The good news? Our homes are lovely.
Our SIL homes are well set up, comfortable, welcoming homes that we are genuinely proud of. We want our participants to enjoy where they live and our staff to enjoy coming to work.
We’re looking for experienced people who can help us keep them that way.

As a Team Leader, you will still work directly with participants, but you will also take that extra level of responsibility for what is happening within the home and help provide guidance to the mentor team.

You’ll be someone who:
• Has solid previous experience working in SIL or supported accommodation
• Understands the responsibilities that come with working in someone's home
• Keeps mentors informed about participant changes and what is happening in the home
• Notices when something isn't right and follows it up
• Understands medication safety and can identify medication or documentation concerns
• Ensures incidents, hazards and near misses are reported and followed up
• Identifies risks and escalates concerns when needed
• Helps ensure participant support plans and other requirements are being followed
• Completes weekly home checks and required documentation
• Helps communicate with the regular mentor team when unexpected shifts need covering
• Supports newer mentors to understand the home, participants and routines
• Communicates openly with management about participant, staff or home concerns
• Takes pride in keeping the home safe, organised, clean and welcoming
We’re looking for someone with initiative.
If you see something that isn’t right, you don’t just walk past it.
If something hasn’t been completed, you follow it up.
If there’s a concern, you communicate it.
And if one of your mentors is doing a fantastic job, we want you to notice that too.
You don’t need to manage everything — we have a SIL management and compliance team supporting you.
What we need is someone experienced, reliable and approachable who can provide excellent participant support while also being the person who notices, communicates and follows through.
SCHADS Award Level 3 Team Leader
If you have genuine SIL experience and are ready to take that next step, we’d love to hear from you.

Pearsons Services is looking for reliable, experienced Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes from Seacombe Gardens through to Seaford.

We have opportunities for:
SCHADS Level 2.1 and 2.2 Support Workers
SIL Team Leaders also required

If you enjoy longer shifts, getting to know the people you support and actually being part of their everyday lives, SIL could be a great fit for you.

Our SIL homes are about supporting people to live their lives their way — whether that's cooking dinner, heading out for the day, working towards goals, developing independence, having a laugh or just being there when someone needs support.

We’re looking for people who are reliable, experienced, kind, practical and genuinely enjoy working with people.

And there is something a little different about working for Pearsons…
We are one of the very few disability providers where your workplace can also include our 20-acre farm and animal rescue.
And yes… we really do have Highland cows.

Our SIL participants have opportunities to visit the farm, spend time with the animals and be part of a wider Pearsons community.

So if you want longer shifts, meaningful work, a great team and a workplace that's definitely not boring, we'd love to hear from you.
Come and join Pearsons Services.

🐴 🌿 BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT. DONE DIFFERENTLY. 🌿 🐴

Are you looking for a new Behaviour Practitioner? Someone who doesn't just gather information, write a Behaviour Support Plan and leave it at that? Well, we have some exciting news at Pearsons Services!

👋 🌟 WELCOME BACK, ZANE! 🌟 👋
Some of you may remember Zane, who worked with Pearsons Services three years ago. We're very excited to welcome him back to our Behaviour Support team. Zane is an experienced Behaviour Practitioner and highly experienced Social Worker, and with the expansion of our team, we now have capacity to take on more Behaviour Support clients.

🎓 Our Behaviour Support team isn't new. Every one of our Behaviour Practitioners has more than four years' experience working in Behaviour Support. We also have an experienced speech pathologist on the team and lets face it behaviour is all about communication or lack of it.

🐐 🐴 🐾 ANIMALS & THE FARM 🐾 🐴 🐐
One of the things that makes our approach different is our ability to incorporate animals, nature and Pearsons Farm & Animal Rescue into Behaviour Support when it suits the individual.
For some people, sitting across a desk and answering questions simply isn't the best way to build a relationship or understand what's really going on.

🐾 An animal can become a shared focus, taking the pressure away from direct conversation and allowing connection to develop more naturally. At the farm, there is space to move, walk, explore, interact with the animals or simply spend time outdoors. The focus doesn't always have to be on the person — and sometimes that's exactly what helps them engage.

🌿 The farm provides a safe, relaxed environment where people can be themselves. They can move around, take a break, change activities and engage in a way that feels comfortable for them.
Importantly, it also gives our practitioners an opportunity to see the person when they're engaged, interested and regulated — not just when something has gone wrong. Sometimes seeing someone at their best helps us better understand how to support them when things are difficult.

🏠 • 🏫 • 🌳 • 🏢 • 🐴
HOME • SCHOOL • COMMUNITY • CLINIC • FARM
Of course, the farm isn't for everyone — and that's absolutely fine.💚 It's about finding the environment, approach and strategies that work for that individual. Because good Behaviour Support shouldn't just be about writing a plan.

🤝 It's about building a relationship.
👀 Seeing the person.
💭 Understanding what's behind the behaviour.
🌱 And developing strategies that actually work in everyday life.

🏡 SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING (SIL) VACANCY — REYNELLA
This one is a cracker — and the photos really don’t do it justice!
We have a vacancy in a stunning Supported Independent Living home in Reynella.
The home is modern, spacious, beautifully furnished and has new appliances throughout. It has been thoughtfully set up to feel like exactly that — a home, not a service.
The available two bedrooms can be fully furnished, or you are very welcome to bring your own furniture, favourite things and make the room completely your own.
There is currently one gentleman living in the home, and we are looking for the right person to share with him.
The vacancy may suit either a male or female participant, with compatibility being the most important consideration.
Suitable for a participant with SIL funding at a 1:2 or 1:3 support ratio.
This is an alcohol-free home, so we are looking for someone who is non-drinking and would enjoy a calm, comfortable and welcoming place to live.
WE’LL HELP MAKE THE MOVE EASIER
Your own Relationship Manager
You’ll have a designated Pearsons Services Relationship Manager who will work with you, your family and Support Coordinator throughout the process — from your first enquiry through to moving in and settling into your new home.
Help with moving
We can assist with planning and coordinating your move, getting your belongings to the home and helping you set up your new room so it feels like yours from the beginning.
Meet before you move
There’s no need to rush such an important decision.
Come over for a coffee, stay for dinner, meet your potential housemate and spend some time getting a feel for the home.
Together, we can develop a personalised transition plan to make sure the move happens at a pace that works for you and gives everyone the opportunity to make sure it’s the right fit.
Because finding the right SIL home isn’t just about finding a vacancy.
It’s about finding the right home, the right support and the right people.

Mentoring at its finest, kissing a lamb 😂Well, to be fair, James and Dan did a lot more in their session then kissing sheep. But it was pretty cute ❤️
Mentoring at Pearson‘s, can include all your typical things in the community but if you love animals or gardening or being out in nature we tick the boxes. You can have a Farm mentor and spend all your time at the farm or use one of our community mentors and have a combination of being in the community and coming up to the Farm.

Tonight, the ladies in our newest SIL house helped cook a beautiful dinner for their cousin and I have to say, I felt very lucky to attend.
After many years with another provider, it took the ladies a little while to settle into Ramsay House. Today, it's wonderful to see how much they love their home and how proud they are to share it with the people who matter most.

The evening was filled with smiles, great food and lots of laughter. It was lovely to celebrate how far the ladies have come.

A special thank you to Audrey and Annie, two of our long-term mentors, whose kindness, patience and dedication have helped make Ramsay House a place where the ladies feel safe, supported and truly at home. We are so proud of what has been created together.

Wanted Client Service Officer - (Office based, in Morphett Vale)
Permanent positon $38 an hour)

🏡 Our SIL homes keep growing... and we need someone to help us manage them!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and is passionate about quality, organisation and making a genuine difference in the lives of people with disability.

Working alongside our SIL Manager and Quality & Compliance Lead, you'll help ensure our participants receive exceptional supports while our homes continue to operate to the highest standards.

Your role will include:
🏡 Completing regular house audits across our SIL homes.
📋 Reviewing and updating participant Support Plans, Risk Assessments and Emergency Plans.
📁 Assisting with participant documentation, file reviews and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
✅ Supporting NDIS compliance and helping us prepare for audits.
💡 Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across our accommodation services.
👥 Supporting staff with best practice and maintaining high-quality, person-centred supports.
🤝 Working collaboratively with participants, families and the wider Pearson's Services team.

We'd love to hear from you if you:
✔ Have experience in disability services, particularly Supported Independent Living (preferred).
✔ Are highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
✔ Enjoy quality improvement and keeping things running smoothly.
✔ Have strong written and communication skills.
✔ Can work independently while also being part of a supportive team.
✔ Are passionate about helping people live their best lives.
Why Pearson's Services?

At Pearson's Services, we believe Supported Independent Living should feel like home. As our accommodation services continue to grow, we're committed to providing safe, welcoming and person-centred homes where participants can build independence, achieve their goals and enjoy life.
This is a role where you'll genuinely make a difference—not just to our participants, but to our staff and the quality of the services we deliver every day.

P.S. Before anyone asks... 😊
No, this role isn't based at the farm and it doesn't involve cuddling Highland cows, bottle-feeding lambs or hanging out with kangaroos!
This position is focused on supporting our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. That said, being part of the Pearson's Services team does have its perks! We regularly hold team events, at Pearson's Farm & Animal Rescue, so while your office might not have donkeys and cows wandering past the window... you'll still get to enjoy the occasional farm fix! 🐑🐄🦘

📧 To apply, please send your resume and a cover letter to [email protected].

🏡 SIL or ILO Housemate Wanted... Must Appreciate a Good Laugh (and Maybe the Occasional Beer!) 🍻😄

We're looking for someone to join one of our homes in Morphett Vale, and we think it's a pretty special place to call home.

🛏️ An extra-large bedroom is ready for the right person.

You'll be sharing with two friendly, easy-going gentlemen who enjoy a laugh, a chat and good company. They're hoping to find someone who is relaxed, enjoys a bit of banter and has a good sense of humour.

A few things to know:

🚬 Both gentlemen are smokers, but they only smoke outside. They enjoy sitting outdoors, relaxing over a smoke, heading out for a spot of fishing, pub lunches and sharing a few laughs.

😊 Both gentlemen are independent and do not have an intellectual disability. One of them likes to stay up late and would love a night owl to move in.

🏡 They value a relaxed, respectful home where everyone can enjoy their independence while also appreciating the companionship that comes with sharing a home.

This vacancy may suit someone looking for:
🌿 Supported Independent Living (SIL)
🏡 Individualised Living Options (ILO)
😊 a Core budget that can be utilised

If you, someone you support, or a family member is looking for a welcoming home with great housemates, we'd love to hear from you.
