🥄 Be picky eaters
🥕 Struggle with food textures
😟 Experience anxiety around food
🧩 Have Autism or sensory differences impacting mealtimes

✨ Step-by-step, we support children to:
✔ Explore foods safely
✔ Build confidence around eating
✔ Reduce stress and anxiety at mealtimes
✔ Increase tolerance of new foods and textures
✔ Create more positive family mealtime experiences

We understand how emotional and exhausting feeding difficulties can be for families, and our goal is to create a supportive, calm and encouraging environment where children can progress at their own pace. 💚

🌿 WE ARE HIRING – GROUP FACILITATORS / SUPPORT WORKERS 🌿
Do you have the energy to lead a cooking group, survive a boys-only group, help feed farm animals, support young people with disabilities AND still smile by the end of the shift? Then we might need you. 😅
Pearson’s Services is looking for support workers with a strong interest and focus on facilitating and running groups for children and young people with disabilities.
Our groups include:
🐴 Farm Groups
👦 Boys-Only Groups
👧 Girls-Only Groups
🍳 Cooking Groups
🌱 Social & Community Programs
We are looking for people who:
✔ Are confident leading groups and keeping young people engaged
✔ Have experience supporting children and young people with Autism and other disabilities
✔ Can think on their feet and stay calm when things get loud, chaotic or covered in glitter/flour/mud
✔ Have a good sense of humour and genuinely enjoy working with young people
✔ Are available afternoons and evenings, with some groups running until approximately 8.00pm
✔ Understand that reliability is absolutely critical — our young people thrive on consistency and routine
Hours are generally 2–3 hour shifts per group, with multiple shifts available during school holidays. There are also opportunities for additional mentoring shifts for those wanting more hours.
Depending on group numbers, you may be facilitating and running the group yourself, or supporting other mentors within the group environment. This role works in conjunction with our Group Coordinator, who will provide support, guidance and oversight across the programs.
The role works across Pearson’s Services for more traditional disability and social groups, as well as Pearson’s Farm & Animal Rescue — our animal rescue charity based in Clarendon.
This is not a sit-down support role. We want people who can actively facilitate, engage, encourage participation and help create groups young people actually WANT to attend.
Experience in disability, youth work, education, behaviour support or community services would be highly regarded.
🌿 The role also includes our farm groups, where our motto is “every little life matters” — from guinea pigs and goats through to horses and Highland cows.
📍 Based across our community programs and farm environment
📧 To apply, please send your resume and a short introduction about yourself to [email protected]
Bonus points if you are unflappable, don’t mind getting a little muddy, talking about subjects such as Minecraft, or being followed around the farm by a goat. 💚

MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Pearson’s Services is looking for a creative, motivated and slightly chaotic-in-a-good-way human to help manage our growing organisation’s online presence and marketing material.
This role is a permanent part-time position working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in our office in Morphett Vale.

For the right person, this role has the potential to grow significantly as the organisation continues to expand.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience managing websites and social media platforms
• Can create polished brochures, flyers and promotional content
• Has strong written communication skills
• Is confident taking photos and videos for social media and promotional use
• Is proactive and can work independently
• Has creative ideas and initiative
• Is reliable, organised and efficient
• Is flexible and comfortable moving between office work, farm life, participant activities
• Take photos and videos of our groups, farm programs, animals, staff and activities
• Help showcase the genuine day-to-day experiences of our participants and services
• Assist with branding and marketing projects across the organisation

You need to be flexible, one minute you might be in the office updating the website, the next you could be ankle-deep in mud at the farm taking photos of Highland cows, or capturing a birthday party at one of our SIL houses. No two days are really the same around here.

We want someone who can capture the personality of our organisation — the real moments, the farm chaos, the BBQ days, the animals, the laughter, and the genuine connections that make Pearson’s what it is.

You should be creative, organised, and efficient. Someone who can take an idea and actually turn it into something polished without it taking six business weeks and three font changes to get there. Strong written English and attention to detail are important.

If you are looking for a role where you can be creative, grow with an organisation, and genuinely make an impact, we would love to hear from you.

SUPPORT WORKERS – SIL HOUSES
TEAM LEADERS & LEVEL 2 WORKERS

Pearson’s Services is growing again… which means more houses, more participants, more coffee, more rostering, and most importantly — we need more amazing staff.
We currently have Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes located throughout the southern suburbs from Seacombe through to Seaford, and with two new homes coming online, we are looking to expand our team.

We are currently seeking:
• Team Leaders
• Level 2 Support Workers

These roles involve supporting participants within SIL homes and include day shifts, passive/sleepover shifts, weekends, and ongoing rostered hours. Our participants live full and active lives, with strong social connections and regular activities. Saturdays are SIL BBQ days and, for those interested, our farm offers fresh eggs and animal visits.

We are looking for staff who are reliable, committed, and genuinely interested in building consistent and supportive relationships with participants. In SIL environments, consistency really matters. Participants rely on familiar staff, stable routines, and people they trust within their home environment.

While we understand that many support workers work across multiple jobs, we are looking for people who want regular rostered hours and are willing to commit to Pearson’s and our participants. We are looking for people with solid availability — not just a random few hours squeezed in between everything else.

We are also looking for staff who understand that when you are on shift, the focus should be on the participants — not sitting on your phone. Good support work means being present, engaged, observant, and actively involved in the home environment.

We are happy to offer permanent positions to attract the right people; however, if casual employment suits you better, have a chat to us.

We are looking for people who:
• Are reliable and dependable
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Can work independently and use initiative
• Are flexible with day shifts, weekends and passive/sleepover shifts
• Have a good sense of humour and a calm approach
• Understand that person-centred care is more than just a buzzword

Essential:
• NDIS Worker Check
• Working With Children Check
• First Aid & CPR
• Driver’s Licence

If you are reading this and feel this role suits you, we would love to hear from you.
Desirable:
• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health or similar
• Experience working within SIL environments

👋✨ Say hello to the beautiful Amy, our new Group Coordinator!
We run quite a few groups around here, so having someone to help keep everything organised and flowing smoothly is very welcome 🌿💛 Amy is stepping in to bring calm, structure, and support across all our programs, making sure everything (and everyone) is where they need to be.
🌿 We’re excited to be expanding what we offer at the farm, including:
🐴 A social skills group set in nature, focusing on connection, regulation, confidence, and gentle interaction with animals and the environment
📚 A home school program designed to support learning, exploration, and social development in a relaxed farm setting
🌱 And a playgroup for younger children, full of exploration, fun, and plenty of muddy boots
💚 Each program is designed to support emotional regulation, build confidence, and help children thrive through hands-on, meaningful experiences in nature.
We’re really looking forward to this next chapter — and to having Amy at the heart of it all 🙌✨
