18/06/2026

Today, several members of our team attended the funeral of a young participant we had the honour of supporting. It is difficult to put into words the emotions that come with saying goodbye to someone so young.

James and Damian worked extensively with this little legend and their family, and we were privileged to help make some of their dreams a reality.

One of our most treasured memories was a visit to the farm not long before they passed away. They spent time saying goodbye to their favourite animals, roasting marshmallows around the fire, laughing, and simply enjoying being a child. It was a beautiful day filled with moments that will stay with all of us forever. There were smiles, laughter and, yes, a few tears as well.

Today was a reminder that disability support is not measured by tasks completed or hours worked. It is measured in trust, relationships, laughter, experiences shared, and the difference we make in the lives of the people and families who place their faith in us.

To the family who allowed us to be part of their journey, thank you for your trust. It was an honour to walk alongside you and support your beautiful child. Our thoughts remain with you during this incredibly difficult time.

Some people leave footprints on our hearts that never fade. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ Autism acceptance is more than awareness. It's about understanding, respect, and making room for people to be themselves.

Being accepting means listening when autistic people tell us what they need, respecting different ways of communicating, understanding that routines can be important, and recognising that behaviours often have a reason behind them.

Sometimes true inclusion means changing our expectations rather than expecting someone else to change who they are.

Let's move beyond simply being aware of autism and focus on creating communities where autistic people feel welcomed, valued, understood, and supported.

Every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to participate in their own way. ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒˆ
