Hayfever season is well and truly upon us, well, we are hit in SA in Autumn 🍁 too. I've noticed clients suffering itchy nose, sneezing etc this year, that do not normally suffer allergy symptoms, I thought it might be our rainy winter causing more growth of grasses and weeds, and it appears the experts agree, the rainy season has increased the growth. Now, I explain this every spring, it is extremely rare for people to have a reaction to Wattle pollen, it is too heavy and sticky to be airborne for humans to inhale, it falls off the tree in large clumps, called " polyads" onto the ground. It is evidently rare for it to test positive in allergy testing. It's just blamed because it's so visible. In most people it's couch grass and ryegrass, extremely airborne at the same time as the wattle is falling/ dropping, so you're better off avoiding wild grassy patches, mow your lawn before it seeds, and close windows on windy days. SA Health and other apps provide access to daily pollen counts in your area.

The amazing new Knox sport field directly opposite my office, has another festive sports event underway again, we' re seeing more and more. It's wonderful to see it well used nowadays and hear happy children doing outdoor, physical activities. But there's a lot of vehicles parked out front and opposite the office today,and quite loud music 📢 ,so just be aware and prepared, if you're of my many appointments today

Sad state of things, just be careful with your doggies.

🐾 Please keep your dogs on lead in our parks.

With baiting taking place in areas such as Tangari Regional Park, and bird flu affecting South Australia, there are extra risks for dogs right now.

Keeping them on lead helps prevent them from eating baits or coming into contact with infected wildlife, keeping our four-legged friends safe. 💚🐶

For locals, this awesome recycling ♻️♻️♻️ hub is at Woodcroft library/ council centre. I've been able to deposit used cosmetics 💄 containers, and all my old toothpastes / toothbrush 🪥 piles, for free. You can see also old glasses, unwanted 🩻 X-ray films and more can be taken here for recycling.

This week is an Anti- Bullying focus week , in schools, with the emphasis on being kind and showing compassion. The theme colour has been 💜 purple. So even though we're all under pressure, it's time to demonstrate and promote kindness for and from kids...and big kids, we all have different stories and circumstances. I hope the kindness and care sticks.
