🚨 NDIS UPDATE: NEW PLAN REASSESSMENT & VARIATION FORMS 🚨

At roundsquared, we want to keep you informed about important NDIS changes as they happen.

The first changes under the new NDIS laws came into effect on 27 August 2026 and include updates to how participants/Members can request plan changes.

⚠️ What you need to know:
✅ Plan reassessments can now only be requested when there has been a significant and ongoing change to a participant's/Members functional capacity, support needs, or circumstances.

✅ Requests for a plan reassessment must be made by the participant/Member, their Plan Nominee, or an Appointed Child Representative. Support Coordinators and providers can help prepare the request but cannot submit it on the participant's behalf.

✅ New Plan Reassessment Request and Plan Variation Request forms are now available on the NDIS website. Requests must be submitted using the appropriate form and include evidence explaining what has changed and why.

⏰ The NDIA now has up to 90 days to decide whether to:
• Reassess a plan
• Vary a plan
• Decline the request

Members will be advised of the outcome and the reasons for the decision

💙 If you're unsure whether you need a plan variation or a plan reassessment, speak with your roundsquared Support Coordinator and we'll help you understand your options.

As more changes are rolled out, we'll continue to keep you informed and explain what they mean for Members and their supports.

🌊🚣‍♂️ Adventure awaits! 🚣‍♂️🌊

Hunter and his Support Worker, Evan, embark on a new adventure every week, and this week they hit the water in Merimbula!

Having never kayaked before, Hunter took on the exciting challenge. The pair spotted marine life, soaked up the stunning scenery, and by the end of the outing, Hunter was paddling independently. What an amazing achievement. ⭐

Each week, Lochie completes his regular shift with support from roundsquared. He has developed a great routine and confidently takes on his weekly tasks.

What Lochie loves most about his job is getting the chance to do his favourite thing... talking to people! 💬 His friendly personality and welcoming nature make him a familiar face around town, and it's no surprise that he is so well known and loved in his community. ❤️

We're proud to see Lochie building his skills, confidence, and independence while doing something he genuinely enjoys.
