🌸 MEET THE TEAM: KAREN 🌸

Next up in our Meet the Office Team series is the wonderful Karen, our Intake Coordinator! 💗

Karen has been on the BBG team as a support worker for a long time now, and she has recently stepped into the role of Intake Coordinator! She is often one of the first friendly faces you’ll connect with at Beyond Barriers Gippsland. She helps make the intake process feel welcoming, simple and supportive, making sure people feel heard from the very beginning. 🫶

When she’s not helping our clients, you’ll find Karen getting lost in a good book 📚, playing phone games 📱, pottering around the garden (without getting her hands dirty of course), or watching her favourite TV shows.

💜 Connect with someone you trust
🎨 Get creative or enjoy a calming activity
🛁 Take some time to rest, relax and recharge

Remember, you don’t have to do everything at once. One small step is still progress. 🌈

Beyond Barriers Gippsland is thrilled to launch a program built on genuine opportunities to learn, connect and thrive — not just a place to fill in the day. Real skills. Real friendships. Real community involvement.

📍 Based out of our new office at 5 Hopetoun Avenue, Morwell - but you'll mostly find us out and about in the community.

🚐 Transport sorted! Wheelchair accessible pickups and drop-offs from home.

🤝 Flexible support ratios to suit every individual with 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 2:1 available.

💛 And our team? Genuinely passionate and beyond excited to get started.

From ArtVo and go-karts to bushwalking, swimming, movies, bowling, Scienceworks, The Big Goose and an overnight Healesville camp... there’s something for everyone! 💜

Next up in our Meet the Office Team series is the wonderful Leanne, our General Manager! 💗

From travelling to over 20 countries 🌏✈️ and dreaming of her next adventure to Japan, to getting creative with all things handcraft, Leanne certainly knows how to keep life interesting!

At home, Leanne enjoys spending time with her husband Paul, their three cats, Cheezel, Puck and Beatrix, plus a range of wildlife 🐱🦋

And of course, no day is complete without a latte with sweetener ☕️ and some great music! 🎶

❄️🏔️ Snow day fun with BBG! 🏔️❄️

What a magical weekend! Our crew headed up to Mount Baw Baw for a day full of snow, laughter, adventure and plenty of tobogganing! 🛷☃️

From snowball fights to making memories with friends, it was the perfect winter day out. 💙 We loved seeing everyone getting involved, trying new things and enjoying everything the snow had to offer!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. We hope you had just as much fun as we did! 🥰❄️

Getting out and about should be accessible, easy and stress-free and we’re here to help make that happen! 🙌

At Beyond Barriers Gippsland, we offer a range of transport options to support our participants on their regular supports and group program adventures:

For regular 1:1 supports & group programs

We use our company transport options where needed to help you get where you need to go, when you need to get there.💙
