Sometimes the best opportunities are worth going the extra mile for… or in my case, several extra miles!

A few years ago when Dr David Hill visited Australia to teach the AromaTouch Technique in Melbourne, I was determined to attend.

I had already been certified in AromaTouch, but I wanted to learn directly from one of the founders of dōTERRA. Over time, information can change a little – a bit like a game of Chinese whispers – and I wanted to hear it firsthand from the source.

What I didn’t expect was the adventure getting there!

My friend Kerry and I had our flights cancelled. Most people would have called it a day, but we were determined to be in that room. We ended up rearranging travel plans, paying for unexpected accommodation, and then had our return flight cancelled too!

Did it cost us more than we planned? Absolutely.

Was it worth it? One hundred percent.

Learning AromaTouch directly from Dr Hill was an experience I’ll never forget. His passion for wellness, education, and helping people live healthier lives was truly inspiring.

And now, the exciting news is that Dr Hill is returning to Australia for Convention next month! 🎉

Not only will he be speaking at Convention, but he will also be presenting a special AromaTouch Technique training session.

🌴 What’s In My Bali Wellness Bag?

Vetiver & My Sinus Blend 🌴

Last night was a bit of an experiment!

I’m sharing a room here in Bali with my sister, and the night before she had been snoring quite a bit. Let’s just say sleep was a little hard to come by. 😴

Before bed last night, I told her I wanted to try something. I applied Vetiver to her big toes and the bottoms of her feet.

Now, I was fairly confident it would help because Vetiver has been part of my own bedtime routine for years. In fact, one of my friends can testify to that after helping me discover just how well it worked for my own snoring!

This morning I asked my sister how she slept and told her that she hadn’t snored once all night.

Her response surprised me.

“Oh, that’s good,” she said, “but what I noticed is that I didn’t dream.”

She’s been having some unpleasant dreams lately, so for her it was a double win — no snoring and a more peaceful night’s sleep. 💚

As for me, I woke up around 2am with a sinus headache. Bali has been beautiful, but the wind a few days ago stirred up my sinuses.

Thankfully, I had packed my trusty sinus blend. I applied it, settled back into bed, and within minutes my headache eased and I drifted back to sleep.

In the end, it turned out to be a great night’s sleep for both of us.

This is exactly why I never travel without my oils. They’re small enough to fit in my travel bag, but they make a big difference when little challenges pop up along the way.

🌴 What’s In My Bali Wellness Bag?

My Morning Routine!
People often ask me if I really take my oils and wellness products everywhere I go.

The answer is YES! 😊

Every morning here in beautiful Bali starts with a few simple wellness habits that help me feel my best while travelling.

The first thing I do is apply my personal immune blend to the bottoms of my feet. Airports, planes, hotels and tourist areas can expose us to all sorts of germs, so this is something I never leave home without.

Next comes my daily supplements:

🍞 Simple Winter Bread Dipping Oil.

A beautiful cosy recipe using Oregano essential oil.
Perfect with warm sourdough on a cold day!
You’ll need:�• 3 tbsp olive oil�• 1 drop Oregano essential oil�• 1 tsp dried Italian herbs�• Cracked pepper�• Fresh garlic (optional)�• Parmesan (optional)

Simply mix together in a shallow bowl and serve with warm bread.

IMPORTANT:
Because Oregano essential oil is very powerful, one drop is MORE than enough.

I love recipes like this during winter — simple, warming and full of flavour.

My Tip:
You may want to use a tooth pick, dip the tooth pick into the oregano bottle then stir through the olive oil. If you want to dip more than once use a new tooth pick. You an always add more but you cant take it out once added.
