I ( Dr Krishna) recently had the wonderful opportunity to join the Beyond the Bump podcast to chat about supporting autistic children and families.

During the conversation, I shared my Rainbow (Polychromatic) Model of Autism—a framework I've developed to help better understand the diverse social-emotional needs, behavioural regulation, and lived experiences of autistic children. My hope is that it encourages a more compassionate, individualised and strengths-based approach to support.

If you know a parent, caregiver, educator or health professional who may find this conversation helpful, I'd be grateful if you could share it with them.

Many thanks to the Beyond the Bump team for creating space for these important conversations.

Can we move past rigid stereotypes in order to better understand and support our autistic children? To dive into this, we speak to Dr Krishna Jadav Carle who explains all the ways in which autism can present in children. 📚 My new book is now available!

I’m delighted to share that my new book, Pharmacotherapy in Neurobehavioral Paediatrics, has been published by Springer.

I wrote this book to help bridge the gap between clinical evidence and everyday practice. It is designed for GPs, paediatric trainees and early-career paediatricians, as well as allied health professionals and parents seeking a deeper understanding of the thoughtful, evidence-based use of psychotropic medications for children with ADHD, autism, anxiety and behavioural challenges.

My hope is that it supports safe, nuanced prescribing and encourages informed, compassionate conversations with families—because medication should always be considered as one part of a holistic, child-centred approach to care.

The book is available through SpringerLink, academic libraries, Amazon and other major booksellers worldwide.

I hope it becomes a valuable resource in your clinical practice, professional development or learning journey.

To the mums doing more than the world can see… 💛

To the mums navigating appointments, school meetings, emotional moments, routines, worries, meltdowns, therapies, paperwork, sleepless nights and endless advocacy…

We see you.
