Our health surveillance team at Snowy Hydro 2.0 have relocated from the Lobs Hole camp to Tantangara tonight.

The team who work from the mobile facility undertake spirometry, audiometry and chest X-rays as part of the WeBuild / FGJV health surveillance programme supporting the long term health of the workforce and screening for silicosis. Results are then streamed from site to our specialist occupational health physicians for review.

Early on the morning of 27 August 2023, 4 medical rescue doctors and paramedics were winched down to the burning wreckage of a US Military Osprey that had crashed in the Tiwi Islands only minutes earlier. Faced with 3 fatalities and 20+ marines on the ground with a mix of injuries they worked quickly and diligently and in the process saved a young marines life. Read his story here.
