🌟National Speech Pathology Week is underway, running from 23–29 August!
To celebrate, we’re shining a spotlight on Molly from BUSHkids, a speech pathologist supporting children and families in Cunnamulla.
Through telehealth and community visits, Molly helps children develop their speech, language, social communication and literacy skills, while working closely with families to support their communication and development.
Working closely with families, educators, teachers and community members, Molly helps build the skills and confidence of those around each child so communication can be supported in everyday life. She also works alongside occupational therapy through a transdisciplinary approach, helping provide holistic and consistent care for families.
Molly says early intervention can make a meaningful difference, giving children the opportunity to build strong communication skills during some of their most important years of learning and development.
“Communication creates possibility. It means giving every child the opportunity to express themselves, connect, learn and thrive in everyday life and into the future.”
For Molly, one of the most rewarding parts of her role is celebrating each child’s progress with their family, whether it’s a communication milestone or another special win in their life.
Her message to families is simple: you know your child best, and it’s always okay to ask questions or reach out for support.
