The uterus doesn’t just exist for pregnancy.

For decades, medical textbooks have treated the nonpregnant uterus as a dormant organ with no function outside of reproduction. However, a pioneering study from Arizona State University is fundamentally challenging this dogma.

By studying rats, researchers discovered that surgical removal of the uterus, while leaving the ovaries intact, triggered a distinct deficit in spatial working memory.

This suggests that the uterus communicates directly with the brain to influence short-term information processing, a critical cognitive function required for complex, day-to-day tasks like learning, reasoning, and navigation.

The findings point to a complex 'uterus-ovary-brain' system rather than just an 'ovary-brain' connection, shedding light on the broader neurological impacts of gynecological surgeries.

In the experiments, rats that underwent a hysterectomy struggled significantly more with memory tasks as cognitive demands increased, showing altered hormone profiles despite retaining their ovaries. Because millions of women undergo hysterectomies while keeping their ovaries, these findings highlight a critical need to reevaluate how surgical menopause impacts long-term cognitive health and dementia risks in women.

One thing I’ve noticed over recent years…

People are no longer just looking for temporary relief —
they’re searching for ways to genuinely support their nervous system, recovery, energy and overall wellbeing naturally.

That curiosity is what first led me into the world of frequency-based wellness and Activated Living.

Now I’m excited to be collaborating with Glow Float & Wellness in Samford as part of their upcoming 1st Birthday Wellness Celebration on Sunday July 26.

It’s refreshing to see more wellness spaces opening conversations around recovery, relaxation, nervous system support and modern wellness experiences.

If you’re local to Samford, come along and experience it for yourself ✨

Sound

In so many cultures across our planet Sound is used for ritual
Sound is used to heal

Church bells ring on a Sunday morning for worship

Bagpipes play to bring bravery into battle

Drums in all cultures for all things from connection and gatherings, story, worship, death, trance, battle.

Bells at the entrance of temples to announce your presence to God

Sound is often used to clear the air through its vibration to cleanse a sacred space before prayer.

In recent years Sound has exploded into the yoga and wellbeing world. With marketing that claims, sound can cure anxiety and insomnia.
As well as all disease.

I will never make such claims
I will also never debunk such claims

You get to choose what you believe
You get to experience your own benefits.

Sound to some is a sacred experience with their higher self

Some find it helps them distress

Some find it an easier way to meditate

Some find it helps with medical conditions.

What ever brings you to the sound bath is yours.
Your experience is always valid, what ever you take from your soundbath is valid.

No need to question no need to validate
