Dear lovely people of Mullewa

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the permanent closure of Mullewa Pharmacy on the 10th of January 2021. Please make sure you have enough supply of your medications to see you through until you can find an alternative. Also, if you leave your scripts on file, please make sure you collect them by 10/01/2021. I will liaise with our lovely doctor to ensure the continuity of supply of medication in town

I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone in our lovely town for their continuous support and business over the last seven years. I also want to thank everyone that made me feel welcomed into this lovely small community. It has been an absolute pleasure to serve every single person that walked through the shop door, but sadly it is time for me to go.

The pharmacy has been suffering financial decline for the last two years that rendered the business unviable. Several factors contributed to this outcome. Shutting down the residential unit in Mullewa hospital had a significant effect especially for elderly residents that could not see a future for themselves in Mullewa and had to leave. The shutting down of Mount Magnet Pharmacy also weakened the business case for keeping Mullewa open. Other factors included government cuts to PBS that were relentless in the last few years and the freezing of the government rural pharmacy incentive for the last ten years.

It has been an absolute pleasure to serve all of you, lovely people of Mullewa, and I hope I can come back one day when the circumstances are better.

Dear valued customers,
I would like to inform our lovely community that the pharmacy is open and will stay open through these tough times. I would like to ask everyone to trust that I will be doing every thing in my capacity to secure their supply of medication despite of any shortages. I would ask you to be patient and refrain from asking for multiple supplies or early supply on prescriptions, so we can have enough to go around. As a close knit community, I am sure that we are going to pull through these unprecedented times and show care and empathy towards each other .

Mullewa Medical Centre up coming closure for a week. So if you are needing scripts please make sure you you call and book an appointment for next week. Also ee are closed monday due to public holiday but will be open on the Friday to make up for being closed the week after.

Dear valued customers
The pharmacy will only open for half a day on Thursday the 6th of June, 8:30 am-11:30 am and for half a day on Wednesday 12th of June, 8:30 am-11:30 am. Normal trading hours otherwise.
