I don’t believe healing is a place we finally arrive at, where we can look back and say, there, I’ve dealt with all of that. I’m healed now.

The longer I’ve been immersed in this work, both within my own life and in holding space for others, the more I’ve come to understand healing as something far less linear. We circle back to the same wounds, fears and patterns we thought we had already met, understood or released, but returning doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve gone backwards.

We are not always the same person when we meet those places again. We may have more awareness, more capacity to stay with what is uncomfortable, more compassion for ourselves and, perhaps most importantly, more choice in how we respond.

Healing, to me, feels much more like a spiral than a straight line. We move through the landscapes of our lives and sometimes return to familiar places, but each time we may be seeing them from a different vantage point.

Perhaps healing isn’t about becoming someone who is no longer wounded, but learning how to be in relationship with our wounds without allowing them to unconsciously steer our lives.

This is one of the reasons I continue to be so moved by sound. Not because sound magically “fixes” us or removes everything difficult we carry, but because it can create space for the thinking mind to soften and for us to listen more deeply to our bodies, to what is asking to be felt, and to what might be ready to move.

Maybe there is far more healing in simply learning how to be with ourselves, again and again, with greater presence, awareness and compassion.

Level 2- 350hr Practitioner Training.

We are on Day 7 of our in person immersion together. But this group is woven together for 9 months of training- learning, connecting, listening, being, singing, sounding, celebrating, crying and laughing together.

And I’m humbled to my knees yet again at the depth and the power in not only this Sound of Being™️ Body of Work - but at the commitment and devotion in the souls who felt called to join us.

So much to share- but we are still in the portal. Will write more at the end of this immersion: deepest heart gratitude to you all for sharing and trusting your YES to join us in this vulnerable and powerful space. ❤️

Honoring you all for listening to the call to being the changemakers and activating this healing archetype of remembering within you again. 🦋🙌🏼🙏🏽

Happy belated birthday to this beautiful woman. 🤍

I was lucky enough to spend your birthday with you, so this post is a little late. 😂

From the moment I met Tanya, it felt like recognising someone I already knew. There were so many synchronicities around our connection, especially through the Sivananda lineage we both felt so deeply connected to. I’ve seen many lifetimes we’ve shared together, and one that has always stayed with me was seeing us as twins. It made perfect sense given the connection we have had in this lifetime.👏🏽

Our friendship has witnessed a lot together: heartbreak & new love, dark nights of the soul, women’s circles and rituals, discovering parts of ourselves that felt too vulnerable to share with anyone else, laughing until we cried and crying until we laughed, endless board games and card games, retreat hosting, our kirtan band, travel, and the beautiful chaos of life. Through every single season, there has been a deep trust and knowing that we’ve always been there for one another. And even though we are such different women, we still somehow end up turning up to events wearing almost the exact same outfit every single time. 😂

Tanya is one of the most creative women I know. Whether it’s a song, a clay creation or a ritual, she creates such magic wherever she goes. She’s thoughtful, compassionate, and always quietly showing up for the people she loves.

She’s also our family’s acupuncturist and somehow always knows when one of us needs support. She’s witnessed me through motherhood and so many seasons of life. As our lives have taken different paths, I’ve always felt completely accepted and never expected to be anywhere other than where I am in that moment. Such a gift…

She’s been beside me through the births of my girls, and I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful godmother for them. So blessed…

I hold this friendship in my heart as one of life’s rarest and most precious gifts, and I feel deeply grateful that our paths found each other in this lifetime darling. 🦋

Tan… thank you for your friendship, your quirks, your compassion, your wisdom and your fun. I love you so so so much. Happy birthday, my darling soul sister. 🤍

There’s something about becoming a mother that has brought me closer to every woman who came before me.🪷

Mother’s Day doesn’t always open something within me, but this one really did. It brought my heart tomy mum and my grandmothers, to the feminine blood that runs through me and now through my daughters’ bodies too.

I honour my mum so deeply today. Her courage to walk beyond the “normal” path and stay true to herself and her values while raising us as a single mother travelling the world on her spiritual journey. Looking back now, I can see how much trust and strength that took.

And my Nan, who I feel so blessed still walks this earth today. So much of who I am was shaped through her love, steadiness and care.

This weekend also felt like such a beautiful remembering of the power of women.

Sitting on ancient land that my body knows, in tipi, in song, prayer, elements and presence.
Sharing tea ceremony and slowing down enough to truly listen and receive.
Being nurtured, cooked for and cared for by my dearest soul sister Tanya.

Different expressions of the feminine, all speaking to me in their own way.

My daughters continue to soften me, humble me and bring me back to what truly matters.

Today I’m honouring the women who shaped me, the women beside me, and the little women I now have the privilege of raising.

And I also honour all the women in my life… my blood and soul sisters, aunties, grandmothers, daughters, mothers and medicine women who have walked beside me in some way and helped me understand the true power of community, connection and being deeply held by women.

And to the women who came before us, thank you for carrying what you carried so we could stand where we stand today.🙏🏽❤️🪷

The Lion’s Gate Portal & Creative Activation🪷

The Lion’s Gate Portal is a powerful energetic alignment that can make us more sensitive to frequencies, sound, and subtle changes in our environment.

During this time, sound can play an important role in how we process and channel energy. The vibrations from instruments, our own voice, or even the rhythm of our breath can help clear mental noise, open the heart, and spark creative flow.✨

You might notice ideas coming through more easily, a stronger pull to express yourself, or a deeper connection to the things you feel called to create.🪷

If you’re feeling this shift:
• Spend time listening to high-vibration sounds or music.
• Use your voice — hum, chant, or speak your intentions out loud.
• Create space for your ideas to land, whether that’s through writing, movement, or art.

This portal is a reminder to tune in, trust what you’re feeling, and allow sound to support your next step forward.🌹

I’ve spent this Lion’s Gate getting inspired at the Byron Writers Festival — soaked to the bones in the soggy wet with my sister — and yet so full of new ideas. My highlight today was hearing Gina Chick share with her rambunctious, authentic expression and rawness. 🙌🏼

Her talk was woven with potent, deeply felt themes, and she closed by leading the group in song — a collective singing experience that brought everyone into their hearts before they left the tent. Sooo good!!!!

Writing has been my go-to practice since I was very young for emotional release, self-reflection, and connection.

I hope whatever you’re doing in this portal is supporting you right now. 🙏🏽

Life in its rawness.

I haven’t shared properly in a long time. I’ve posted updates—milestones, family things, business news—but I haven’t had the capacity to be fully real online.

It’s taken everything just to keep going. Sharing while still in it felt too vulnerable. And I told myself I had to wait until I was through it—until I had something wise to say.

But the truth is, I’m still somewhere in the middle. Catching my breath. And for the first time in a while, I feel like I can share.

Four years ago, our second daughter arrived, right amidst the Covid madness. Since then, it’s been one thing after another.

A head injury and chronic pain.
Losing most of our equipment in the floods—during a training.
Ross River virus.
Depression.
Perimenopause hitting harder and earlier than expected.
Multiple neurodivergent diagnoses in the family—something I resisted for a long time.

And then, a repressed trauma that was laying dormant came roaring back. PTSD got triggered. It shifted from managing life to surviving it—mentally and emotionally.

It’s been huge. I’ve questioned everything—my relationship, motherhood, our business, my path.
Money’s been tight. Support has felt thin. I’ve been exhausted in a way I can’t explain.

But something’s starting to shift. This year, I’ve come up for air.

I’m finding moments of joy again.
Meditation has brought glimpses of light and connection to Spirit.
Holding space for clients and students has grounded me—it reminds me why I keep showing up.

I’m leaning into the sacred moments with my girls and my partner. Letting small moments matter, even when everything still feels messy.

I’m still healing. Still navigating. But I’m here.
More present than I’ve been in a long time.

Not because it’s all resolved—but because it’s real.
If you’re in it too, you’re not alone. Some days it’s heavy.
And some days, the light breaks through.

That’s where I’m at.🫣

🌟

We’ve just wrapped up another 200hr Sound of Being™ training immersion — our first group for the year — with 16 phenomenal students. Each training is a deep dive, and with a young family in tow, it’s no small feat… but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This round was incredible. So many moments of transformation, connection, and clarity. I truly loved it.

And to finish, our final public event brought in 108 participants — such a potent number in Vedic tradition. It felt like a powerful confirmation that we’re exactly where we need to be.

As we move forward, we’re anchoring new visions and pathways for what’s to come — and it’s feeling aligned on every level.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign… 4 spots left for our October 2025 Sound of Being™ Nervous System Nourishment Retreat in the Byron Hinterland. A reset for the soul through Vedic sound practices.

Feeling “off” lately? It might not just be you — it might be the Sun.

Solar flares have been particularly active, subtly stirring our planet’s electromagnetic field — and that can affect our own energetic and nervous systems more than we realise.

If you’ve been feeling wired, foggy, emotionally tender, or just not yourself lately… you’re not alone. Your body is adjusting to cosmic changes, even if your mind hasn’t caught up.

This is where sound becomes medicine.
This is why we gather.

Join us for our next Sound of Being™ Journey on Tuesday, June 3rd at Mullumbimby Civic Hall — held at the close of our Facilitator Training Immersion.

You’ll be welcomed into the space by our beautiful student group as part of their learning, and guided through the journey by both of us — a rare opportunity to experience the weaving of our facilitation together.

As a gift to our community, we’re offering 20% off for those who follow us. Use the code FREQUENTFLYER when booking via the link in bio.
Offer ends Tuesday, 27th May.

Come rest, receive, and return to your centre.

With love,
Seriya and Matty

The last day of my 30s was spent in a place that holds so much of my heart.

We spent the day at Crystal Castle, where Matty and I first weaved our connection many years ago.(a decade?)
Some of you might not know—this is where we met, where I was working as the Experience Coordinator, creating and weaving magical workshops for visitors from all over the world.
Matty was part of the team I managed, and what started as collaboration soon deepened into a soul bond that changed the course of my life.

I spent six years writing, creating, guiding, and connecting with the sacredness of that land.
Being back there now, walking through it with our daughters, feeling them connect with the stones and gardens that once held so much of my own growth—it filled me up in a way words barely touch.

And the full circle moments kept flowing.
Sensing the power of the crystal allies and trees which are still anchored there, energies I’ve journeyed with for decades.🌹
Receiving a sound healing from my beautiful friend Felicity—someone who has been part of my life for over 20 years—was the sweetest, most sacred closing to this chapter.❤️

It felt like the land itself welcomed me back, witnessing the woman, the mother, the soul I’ve become.

It was the perfect way to close 39.
Full circle. Full heart. Full of gratitude.🦋🦋

On my way to Australian Fashion Week today, after a big (and slightly chaotic) travel mission with my girls down to Sydney — delays, detours, meltdowns and all. 😩😂Finally landing into a moment of stillness and reflection before the inspiration truly begins.

I’m here to celebrate someone incredibly dear to my heart — my soul sister of almost 30 years, Melissa Greenwood of Miimi & Jiinda. A proud Gumbaynggirr woman, a mama of three gorgeous children, and one of the most powerful artists and visionaries I know.❤️

Melissa and I share a true sister connection — one that’s been through it all: wild teenage years, university days, travel chapters, career-building seasons… and now, raising our kids side by side. Her family has always felt like family to me.🌹

Some of you might remember — back in the early days of Miimi & Jiinda, I supported behind the scenes as their operations manager. To witness where they’ve taken it now — it’s honestly breathtaking. This is legacy work.🙏🏽

And it’s not just Melissa’s story — it’s woven with her beautiful mother, Aunty Lauren Jarrett. A healer, artist, weaver, mother and Nanny, and someone who was such a powerful part of my life growing up. I love her deeply. I love them both.🔥

Miimi & Jiinda means mother and daughters in Gumbaynggirr language — and today, their creations are walking the runway. Worn as story. As spirit. As sovereignty.

I still remember back when Melissa was modelling in our late teens. She’d speak her vision out loud — to have her own fashion label, to see her art in Vogue, to create something that would travel across the world. And here it is. Manifesting. Alive.🔥

Lissy, I honour you today.
Aunty Lauren, I honour you too.
You rise, and we all rise with you.❤️❤️

Keep posted — I’ll be sharing some moments from the runway soon.
