'You can't outrun a bad diet' myth keeps doing it's rounds.
Humans can certainly outrun a bad diet in terms of exercise to lose weight. This has been happening for many many years globally with people in sports clubs, gyms etc etc. The key is simple - calories in v calories out OR exhale more CO2 ( movement) whilst managing what is coming into the body.
CARBO- HYDRATES are the clue. Fat breaks down via carbon dioxide and water...then is exhaled. The air is heavier breathing out due to the 4% carbon dioxide ( 3 atoms) than breathing in ( 2 atoms).
However, long term health ( healthspan) is about eating mostly healthy whole foods consistently along with consistent exercise to provide the best results. This 'maintains healthy weight' long term, and never ever need any weight loss pills, surgery, diets etc etc.
