SIL can be confusing—so here's the simple version. 🏡

Supported Independent Living funds support workers to help or supervise day-to-day tasks in your home. It can include support with personal care, meals and household tasks, including overnight support where this is funded in a participant's plan.

SIL does not pay for the home itself, rent, groceries or other ordinary living expenses. It is generally intended for people with higher support needs, and the support funded will depend on the participant's individual circumstances and plan.
