This year’s theme, Care for a carer: Making carers visible, reminds us to recognise, support, and care for the carers in our families, workplaces, and communities.

💚 World Mental Health Day 2026 💚

Today, we recognise World Mental Health Day and this year’s theme, Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change.

Everyone’s experience of mental health is different. By listening to people with lived experience, we can better understand what support is needed and work towards creating more compassionate, inclusive and effective mental health services.

In Australia, the theme, Together We Thrive, reminds us that connection, understanding and working together can make a meaningful difference.
