Women’s health was never just about hormones.

And yet for so long, we’ve been taught to look at women’s health in pieces.

Her hormones.
Her pelvic floor.
Her mental health.
Her sleep.
Her nutrition.
Her strength.

All incredibly important.

But she is not a collection of separate systems.

She is a whole woman.

Her nervous system influences how she moves through her days.

Her sleep affects how she feels, thinks and functions.

Her nourishment matters.

Her strength matters.

Her relationships and environment matter.

The season of womanhood she is moving through matters.

And I also believe the things that are harder to measure matter too.

Her connection to her body.

Her energy.

Her intuition.

Her sense of being heard.

Her ability to recognise when something doesn't feel right.

Her inner knowing.

For me, supporting women's health means being willing to look through more than one lens.

It means honouring the science and physiology of the female body while also leaving space for the emotional, energetic and intuitive parts of being human.

It means recognising that what supported a woman in one season may not be what she needs in the next.

Pregnancy changes us.

Postpartum changes us.

Motherhood changes us.

Perimenopause changes us.

Menopause changes us.

We evolve. And the way we care for ourselves needs permission to evolve with us.

So throughout Women's Health Week, I'll be exploring this year's themes of:

🌿 To fuel
🌿 To move
🌿 To rest
🌿 To breathe
🌿 To connect

But I'll be exploring them through the Encompass lens.

Not as another list of things women should be doing.

But as an invitation to become curious about what your body, mind and soul might actually need in the season you're in.

Because women's health isn't one system.

She is the whole.

And every season of her matters. 🤍

Not all breathwork calms your nervous system, and that does not mean it is not working.

We often hear breathwork described as a tool that immediately moves the body into rest and regulation.
But that depends on the kind of breathwork being practised.

A 2026 study explored conscious connected breathwork, a more activating form of breath practice.
During the session, participants’ heart rate variability decreased, reflecting physiological activation. After the session, heart rate variability increased.
Those who experienced a wider range of emotions also tended to show a greater increase afterwards.
This does not prove that emotional release caused the change. But it opens an important conversation about what may be happening when breathwork moves us through activation before we experience settling, clarity or release.

Some breath practices gently soothe.
Some energise.
Some invite us into deeper emotional and altered states.
The question is not simply, “Did this calm me?”

The deeper questions are:
Did I feel safe and supported?
Was this practice right for my body today?
Was there space to integrate what arose?

Because activation is not always dysregulation.
Sometimes the body is moving through something before it finds a new place to land.
Save this as a reminder that different breath practices hold different purposes.

What have you noticed in your own body during breathwork?

I don’t think I’m changing direction. I think I’m finally understanding where I’ve been heading all along. 🤍

There has been such an evolution happening within Encompass for a little while now.

And within me.

After 12 years in the health and fitness industry, my understanding of health has changed enormously.

I started with movement, nutrition and the physical body.
Then epigenetics......

Then my own life took me deeper.

I’ve experienced motherhood in two completely different seasons of my life, and now, pregnant with my fourth boy, I find myself moving through another season again.

Each one has taught me something different about being a woman.

About our bodies.

Our hormones.

Our capacity.

Our nervous system.

Our identity.

And how much we change as we move through the different seasons of our lives.

That curiosity led me deeper into women’s health.

And then deeper again.

Into breath.

The nervous system.

Sound.

Frequency.

Energy.

Intuition.

And the parts of ourselves we can’t always see, measure or neatly explain.

For a while, I think part of me wondered how all of these pieces were supposed to fit together.

The science and the spirituality.

The physical and the energetic.

The evidence and the intuition.

And now I realise...

I don’t need to choose.

I believe there is space for all of it.

I can deeply respect the science of the female body while also believing there are layers to our human experience that science may not always have language for.

I can talk about the nervous system and frequency.

Hormones and energy.

Physiology and intuition.

Breath and consciousness.

Because to me, they were never meant to exist in completely separate boxes.

We are the whole.

Body.
Mind.
Nervous system.
Energy.
Soul.

And perhaps this isn’t a new version of Encompass at all.

Perhaps this is what Encompass was always meant to become.

Where science meets the unseen.
Where the physical meets the energetic.
Where every season of her is honoured.

And for the first time, I don’t feel like I need to choose between any of it.

This feels like Encompass. 🤍✨

Not every life stage needs the same medicine.

What your body needed at 25 isn't what it needs now ✨ so how do you actually know what it needs?

You ask it. Quietly. Honestly.

There's a compass within....... You just need to understand how to access it.

Maybe the woo and the science were never meant to be separate. ✨

For a long time, I think I felt like I had to choose.
Talk about the body, hormones, nervous system and physiology…
OR talk about energy, frequency, intuition and the things we can't always see or explain.

But the deeper I go into this work, the more I realise I don't want to separate them.
Because I believe in both.

I believe in understanding the physical body and supporting our nervous system.
I believe sound and vibration can create a very real sensory experience and very real shift within the body.
And I also believe there is an energetic layer to us that goes beyond what we can physically see.

I believe in intuition.
I believe in energy.
I believe there are things we feel deeply before we ever have the words to explain them.

✨️And I'm no longer interested in watering that part of myself down to make my work fit neatly into one box.

This is Encompass.

The science AND the unseen.
The physical AND the energetic.
The evidence AND the intuition.
The body, mind and soul.
There is space here for all of it. 🤍

🌿And somehow, this feels like the missing piece my soul has been quietly guiding me towards.

The piece that brings it all together.
The body.
The breath.
The nervous system.
The sound.
The frequency.
The energy.
The soul.
Not separate pieces of our wellbeing, but parts of the whole.

And maybe that’s what Encompass has always been leading me towards. 🤍

If you’re ready to experience this work for yourself, my 1:1 sessions are now open.

The body has been keeping score.

Every unfinished feeling filed somewhere
✨ waiting for a room quiet enough to let it go.

It already knows how. It just needed the space.
