It is with so much heart that we congratulate Ozlem on five years of service with Genuine Support Services Australia. ❤️

Over the past five years, Ozlem has worked incredibly hard and shown so much strength and resilience. She is a genuinely well-rounded support worker who has embraced every aspect of the role and understands that great support requires patience, dignity, respect, a willingness to learn and, importantly, accountability.

Ozlem demonstrates all of these qualities so beautifully, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed to our participants, our team and our organisation over the years.

She has now earned herself a very well-deserved three-month holiday! We wish her the most amazing time on her travels and look forward to welcoming her back when she returns.

Learning Through a Love of Horses! 💜🐴

Charlii has been hard at work at EGO Farm, where her love of horses is now becoming part of her school learning program!

Murray Bridge High School is excited to see Charlii discover a real passion for learning all aspects of caring for and working with horses. 🌟

Each Wednesday, Charlii will spend time at EGO Farm as part of a program designed to build her knowledge and practical stable hand skills – from caring for the horses and learning about their needs to developing her riding and handling skills.

What a fantastic way to combine education with something Charlii really enjoys. We’re looking forward to watching her skills and confidence continue to grow! 🐴🥰

LET’S GET A GSSA TEAM TOGETHER! 🏃‍♀️🚶‍♂️

The Murray Bridge Running Festival is coming up on Sunday 1 November, and we already have a few GSSA clients interested in taking part!

We thought it would be fantastic to get a GSSA team together, wearing our bright GSSA shirts and supporting each other along the way! 🌈🙌

There are a few different events to choose from:

5km Halloween Fun Run🎃 – $25
A fun 5km run/walk celebrating Halloween in style – dress as spooky as you dare! Kids also receive a 50% discount at checkout.

10km 👟– $40
Take in the highlights of the Murray Bridge course while enjoying a great challenge.

Half Marathon (21km) 🏃– $65
For those looking to take on the longer distance along the beautiful Murray River.

The course starts and finishes near the Bunyip at Sturt Reserve and follows the river, taking in some of Murray Bridge’s local highlights – including the special opportunity to cross the historic first bridge built over the Murray River!

You can walk or run, so choose the option that suits you and come along for the experience. 💜💙

Growing Forward – 8 Ball Day!🎱

Our Growing Forward crew enjoyed a great morning of 8 Ball this week! There was plenty of friendly competition, encouragement and lots of fun around the pool table. 😊

Afterwards, everyone headed back to the GSSA Activities Room to enjoy a light lunch together.

Kristy headed out with Ken today for a ride to Langhorne Creek, with one of Ken’s friends joining them for the trip.

A great chance to get out on the open road, enjoy some good company and make the most of the day. 😊

What a fantastic night at Murray Bridge GLOWS! ✨

Last Saturday, some of our GSSA staff and clients were kept busy manning the sausage sizzle while enjoying all the colour, lights and entertainment of the evening. 🌭🌈

It was wonderful to see so many people out and about, enjoying the spectacle and coming together as a community. A great night to be part of! 💜

The sun was shining and it was a beautiful spring day in Murray Bridge today, perfect for a Friday lunch at the Ability Café! ☀️🌸

Our staff Carly and Jacqui, along with client volunteers Caderyn and Mickala, were busy helping out, serving up some delicious food and sharing plenty of smiles and laughs along the way. 😊

We love seeing our clients getting involved, building skills and working alongside our staff as part of the café team. 💜
