Thirteen years ago, Celebrity Ink was just a humble studio in Phuket, Thailand. Back then, we were just a humble studio with a few chairs and a massive dream. Since that first day in the heat of Phuket, we haven’t just grown in floor space; we’ve grown through the lives we’ve touched.

Poder do amor | Power of Love

“I think my favourite part of being a mum is that when things get difficult, I don’t really get to give up. I always have a reason to keep going.

He gave me that.
He made me who I am today.

Because if it wasn’t for him, I don’t think I would’ve found that same sense of purpose… and without a purpose, there’s no goal.

People always ask for tips for new mums, but honestly, I don’t really believe in giving advice. Because when you’re a new mum, it’s already overwhelming, and everyone has something to say.

Every child is so unique.
So instead, just learn your own child.
Trust them. Understand them.

Don’t put other people’s expectations on them, just let them be who they are, and grow with that.

The tattoos I have for him, I have ‘B-E’, because in Portuguese, baby is ‘bebê’, and I call him ‘B’ for short. I also have his date of birth tattooed, 22nd of September.

But the most meaningful one is this one. It means ‘the power of love’. It comes from a song I used to sing to him when he was a baby, when he was crying, or scared.

There’s a line that says love takes away the fear. And it became our thing.

Now we have this little gesture, I make half a heart with my hand, and he completes it. Then we do a little ‘boom’ at the end… like it’s the power of love.

He’s six now, and we still do it to this day.”
