Little Risky Kids, BIG exploring! 💚

Risky Play is all about giving our youngest Risky Kids the space to play, explore, move and discover what they’re capable of, with their grown-up right there alongside them.

Climb a little higher. Try a different way. Work out how to get back down. Decide whether you’re ready to try again. 👀

It might look like play, but there’s so much learning happening along the way, building confidence, independence, problem-solving and a positive relationship with challenge.

Because sometimes the best way to learn is simply to give it a go! 💥

Be Aware 🧠💥

You’ve probably heard us talk about Be Aware when it comes to noticing what’s around us, but did you know it also means being aware of what’s happening inside us?

Our emotions can have a big impact on how we approach a challenge. When we’re nervous, we might hesitate. When we’re frustrated, we might rush. When we’re excited or overconfident, we might take a bigger risk than we’re ready for.

By recognising how we’re feeling, our Risky Kids can better understand how those emotions might affect their choices and decide how they want to approach what comes next.

Be aware of your surroundings, but don’t forget to be aware of yourself too. 🙌

A Lache can look pretty intimidating until you break it down and build the movement step by step.

From creating a strong swing to learning when to release and trusting yourself to make the catch, each progression helps our Risky Kids build the confidence, timing, and control needed to put the full movement together.
