💙 Celebrating and supporting our carers this National Carers Week!
Last week, we held our Carers Seminar as part of National Carers Week, bringing people together for a valuable morning of learning, sharing and connection.
We were pleased to welcome David from Carers WA, who spoke about the support and resources available to carers, as well as guest speakers Patricia and Peter, who generously shared their own experiences of caring for someone living with Parkinson’s.
It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the support available, hear different perspectives and connect through shared experiences. 💙
A heartfelt thank you to David, Patricia and Peter for sharing their knowledge and stories, and to everyone who attended and helped make the seminar such a meaningful experience.
At Parkinson’s WA, we recognise the important role carers play and remain committed to supporting them every step of the way.

⛳A huge thank you to Major Motors for choosing Parkinson’s WA as their charity partner for their annual golf day! We’re so grateful for your support and for the opportunity to raise awareness of Parkinson’s.

Amanda, Kerrin and Jessica had a wonderful day yesterday meeting so many lovely people, sharing conversations and talking about the work of Parkinson’s WA. It was fantastic to connect with everyone and help spread awareness of Parkinson’s in our community.

🌦️ Even a few light showers of rain couldn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! There were plenty of smiles, great conversations and a wonderful sense of community throughout the day.

A special thank you for the incredible donations received in support of Parkinson’s WA. Your generosity will help us continue supporting people living with Parkinson’s and their families. 💚

A wonderful morning with our Midland Support Group!

This morning, our Midland Support Group enjoyed a special catch-up with Kirsten and David Blacker, who shared some key highlights and insights from the World Parkinson Congress, held in Phoenix, Arizona, in May. 🌎💜

It was a great opportunity to hear about the latest conversations, ideas and developments from around the world in Parkinson’s.

The morning continued with a relaxing Chair Yoga session with Kirsten, giving everyone the chance to move, stretch and enjoy some mindful movement together. 🧘‍♀️✨

Thank you to Kirsten and David for sharing their knowledge, and to our wonderful Midland Support Group for continuing to connect, learn and support one another. 💜
