📢 THE NDIS IS CHANGING — BUT WHAT DOES THAT ACTUALLY MEAN FOR YOU?

You may have seen a lot of discussion recently about changes and reforms to the NDIS.

New NDIS legislation has now passed Parliament, with changes being introduced gradually over the coming months and years.

For participants and families, the most important message right now is:

❤️ Your current NDIS plan and supports continue as usual.

Some of the bigger changes ahead include:

🔴 Changes to how NDIS plans are developed
🔴 New Support Needs Assessments to help determine future funding
🔴 More flexible budgets under the new planning framework
🔴 Changes to how some NDIS funding can be used
🔴 Stronger requirements and accountability for providers
🔴 Changes to SIL and home and living supports
🔴 Further changes to NDIS eligibility from 2028

We know that changes to the NDIS can sometimes feel overwhelming — particularly when you're trying to understand what they mean for you or someone you care for.

That's where having the right people around you matters.

At Aged Care Angels & Disability Services, we've been supporting people with disability and their families across Port Stephens and the surrounding region for many years.

Our focus remains simple: providing reliable, person-centred support that helps people live their lives, maintain their independence, participate in their community and work towards the things that matter to them.

As the NDIS enters its next chapter, ACAD will be here for ours too. ❤️

If you're looking for an NDIS provider in the Nelson Bay / Port Stephens area, or you're considering a change of provider, we'd love to have a conversation about the supports you're looking for.

✨ YOUR LIFE. YOUR CHOICES. SUPPORT THAT ACTUALLY FITS. ❤️

Looking for disability support in Port Stephens?

Maybe you're looking for a support worker you actually enjoy spending time with.

Someone to help you get out more, work towards something you've been wanting to achieve, get to appointments, hit the shops, go to the gym, catch a game, learn something new — or simply make everyday life a little easier.

Or perhaps you're ready for a bigger change and looking for a place to call home.

That’s where Aged Care Angels & Disability Services comes in.

We’re a local, privately owned provider, which means you're not just another name or NDIS number in a huge organisation.
We want to know you.

What do you enjoy?
What do you want more independence with?
What makes a good day for you?
What type of support worker do you actually get along with?
And importantly — what do YOU want your support to look like?

❤️ Why choose ACAD?
Our team is local, experienced and genuinely involved. The people in this photo aren't sitting in a corporate office interstate — they're part of the team supporting our clients, families and support workers right here in our community.

We put a lot of effort into matching the right people together, because qualifications matter, but so does personality.
We want you to feel comfortable speaking up, changing things that aren't working and having a genuine say in who supports you and how.

And right now, we have capacity for new clients. 🙌

We can provide support with community access and social activities, daily living and independence, personal care, transport and appointments, household support, and other individualised disability supports.
