Shari Ware

Shari Ware Walking with you to a healthier, organic life. 🌱 Empower and evolve daily with S.T.E.P.S. πŸš€ There is so much more to it than that.

I am Shari Ware, a busy mum who spent many years putting everyone else ahead of myself because I believed that everyone else was more important than me and that I wasn’t deserving. It led me to a place where I was over 180 kg and in a world of pain physically, mentally and emotionally, whilst portraying the stereotypical picture of being β€œfat and happy” to the world. Back in 2010, after many years

of being morbidly obese, I finally found my β€œWHY Power” which enabled me to make changes, one at a time, to release 100kg. I learned so much on my journey and one of the biggest things I learned is that it’s not about β€œeating less and moving more”. I empower and support busy mums just like yourself, to implement small daily healthy changes in their lives by using neuroscience to hack their brains. I’ll help you to understand why you do what you do and how to use habit science to create healthy habits in your life that serve you and to stop unhealthy habits that aren’t, in a way that’s easy, sustainable and FUN! I’ll help you to learn to love yourself along the way so that you continue to do what you need to do for you, without feeling selfish or guilty….even if it sounds impossible to you right now….enabling you to give so much more from your overflowing cup.

Snapper Up got my attention at the Helensvale Farmers Market, and it was the wild caught Mooloolaba king prawns that did it. 🦐

Fresh seafood out of a trailer, three days a week around the Gold Coast, and Saturdays at Helensvale from 6am. 🐟

I didn't go looking for a single thing that happened this week. It all just turned up. 🌏

Digga wanted to walk a different way on one of our wanders, so I went with it, and I'm so grateful I did. There in the bush was a little wallaby with a joey tucked up in her pouch. Digga waited, reluctantly but very patiently, while I got the best shot I could. 🦘

I see bunnies almost every day down here, and one of them finally stood still long enough for me to get a photo. Yay! They are so cute. 🐰

I've also been blessed with whales off my balcony a couple of times. It's not the best photo, but I promise you there IS a whale in there. πŸ‹

And then there was Dolly. We lost her, and I don't normally cry when we lose a legend, but this one hit me right in the heart and I have to say, I had some teary days. πŸ’”

I was shopping for wine for the weekend, not looking for anything in particular, and came across a bottle with her name on it. Of course, I had to buy one and raise a glass. Thank you beautiful Dolly for shining your bright light in this world of ours for so many years and bringing so much joy. Another angel to look over us now. πŸ₯‚

The best sunrise and the best sunset of my week bookend all of it. The whole bay gone pink at one end, gold laid right across the water at the other, that daily light that's helping me work on balancing my hormones. β˜€οΈπŸŒ…

Not one bit of it was planned. Digga, you can pick the path any time. 🐾

Has your furbaby ever taken you somewhere you'd never have gone on your own?

Two brothers, 17 acres in the Tweed, NSW, and ten farmers markets a week. πŸ„

That's Shroom Brothers, a specialty mushroom farm at Stokers Siding growing oyster, shiitake, king, lion's mane, shimeji, chestnut and reishi. 🌿

Everything's grown spray free in their own grow rooms and hand picked fresh daily. 🌱

I came across them on a Sunday morning at the Organic Gold Coast Farmers Market. πŸ‘€

Minka Park founded Kimchi Club in 2018, taking Korean traditional methods and adapting them to Australian produce. πŸ₯¬

It's a social enterprise, creating meaningful work for migrant women. πŸ™Œ

The kimchi is wild fermented, vegan and gluten free, hand packed in small batches with South Australian vegetables, and some of it's certified organic. πŸ«™

I found them at the Adelaide Hills Farmers Market while I was housesitting in Mount Barker, and I've been a fan since. πŸ’š

I nearly said no to this one. Three months in Tasmania, a place I'd never been, and the fear of the unknown had a very good go at talking me out of it. ✈️

But it felt like the universe was handing me a gift, and you don't say no to one of those. So I said yes. πŸ’«

The signs I'd got it right started before the plane even left the ground. The aircraft numbers on the safety card added up to 8888, and I took that as a good omen. ✨

By the time my first glimpse of Hobart came up through the window, all blue water and green paddocks under a bit of cloud, I was excited and scared all at the same time. 😍

Then I got here and everything was ok. More than ok. Digga is the furbaby I'm minding and he took about five minutes to decide I was alright, so I have a new best friend. 🐾

Even the beach is showing off. Lying in the sand was an eleven armed sea star, every arm a different length, because they split themselves in two and grow the missing half back. I look at everything around me in wonder.⭐

My last Queensland sunrise opens this one and my first sunset over the water down here closes it, that daily light that's helping me work on balancing my hormones. β˜€οΈπŸŒ…

It feels like I was rewarded for pushing past the fear, and like I've literally won the lottery. So glad I said yes. I'm in heaven!

What's the best yes you've ever said when you were half talking yourself out of it?

The Tea Catcher has been sourcing loose leaf tea since 2013, and the range is stocked by around 55 cafes and retailers across South Australia and interstate. 🍡

I found them at Stirling Market in May, having just run out of green tea. β˜” I didn't expect the decision to take that long. πŸ˜„

My last week pet sitting Bob and Candy, and these two have made very sure I'll remember them. 🐾

Candy stretches out across two thirds of the bed like she pays rent on it. I stand there working out where exactly I'm meant to sleep. πŸ›οΈ

A glove turned up on the floor, nowhere near where I left it. Apparently we have a glove thief in the house. 🧀

Bob keeps to himself, tucked in behind a cushion on the couch, all legs and no face and far too adorable for someone who thinks he's hidden. 😍

Then the glove thief revealed herself as a scarf thief too, with my purple scarf dragged the length of the kitchen floor. Caught you, Candy. πŸ’œ

The best sunrise and the best sunset of the week bookend all of it, that daily light that's helping me work on balancing my hormones. β˜€οΈπŸŒ…

Their family comes home shortly and I move on to the next sit, and I'm going to miss the pair of them.

What's the strangest thing a pet has pinched from you?

Here's a small thing that tells you a lot about a business. 🐾

FurrTrition Pet Products puts free taste bites out on the table at their market stall, so your dog gets to try before you buy. πŸ˜„

Jeff has been making these since 2012. Australian made, 100% natural, no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. 🌿

We've been customers for years and Princess Lulu, my grand furbaby, loves Jeff and his treats. πŸ₯°
