FEBRUARY DIARIES 📚

Aware this is half way though March which pretty much summarises up our last little while of living in the present. It doesn’t look interesting, I know, but I promise it feels amazing, calm, the progress and the moments. Big on building a life that feels good > looks good anyday.

Keep well, Lex ❤️

It marks THREE MONTHS TODAY Australia introduced the under-16 SOCIAL MEDIA BAN and the reality is complex, so I thought I would give you an update as someone who works closely with teenagers in body image, eating disorders and health and wellbeing 🤳

MILLIONS of accounts were removed in the first month, yet many teens are still finding ways around it. Social media hasn’t disappeared from their lives overnight and many are still using it as normal.

And that tension is real.

Some of my 14–15 year old clients think the ban is rubbish. They feel frustrated and disconnected because social media is how many of them communicate with friends.

But adults are also asking an important question:
What does constant comparison do to developing minds and bodies?

We know the comparison economy.. likes, followers, trends. It doesn’t just influence confidence, It shapes how young people relate to their bodies, food and themselves.

So while the rollout hasn’t been perfect, creating even small spaces away from algorithm-driven comparison may still be a step forward particularly with children currently under 12 growing up.

Protecting childhood from constant comparison isn’t restriction, it is some progress.

This is something we explore deeply in Renourish 📕
how our environments shape the way we relate to food, our bodies and our sense of self. Trust me, I’ve been there as a kid..

Growing up deserves less scroll, more self.

I’ve learnt & embodied a lot about health over the years, though formally educated, it has been through my own experiences & feelings that I have learnt my limits and well, how to feel GOOD. Life is NOT a sprint and extremes will have you in a PUSH-PULL relationship with yourself.. for me, I love that stability & consistency with how I feel.

SUSTAINABLE WELLBEING isn’t about quick fixes or extremes. It’s movement, nourishment, rest, and boundaries that you can actually maintain. Somedays you might need more, somedays you might need less, but it’s starting to listen and asking “what do I need today?”

Consistency over intensity. Balance over perfection. Showing up for yourself every day, however that might look for you.

Big love Lex ❤️

RENOURISH is still out there flourishing particularly in this last week we have had some massive leaps 🌸

It is funny to think back this time last year, Warren & I were deep in the writing process and one year on, we are still pinching ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who has support us, come along to events, written & connected via messages which I will always get back to and found some solace in the book. We know treatment for EDs can be expensive and hard to access so we hope this brings a bit of light.

Big love Lex & Warren ❤️
