Today is an important reminder to check in with the people around us and ask, “Are you OK?”

A simple question, paired with taking the time to genuinely listen, can make a meaningful difference.

At GP Collective, we encourage our community to stay connected, support one another and continue these conversations every day.

Ask R U OK? Any Day.

We’re proud to work alongside the Mint Physiotherapy team and appreciate the care, expertise and support they provide to our patients and communities.

Happy World Physiotherapy Day to the Mint Physiotherapy team!

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, an important reminder for men to make their health a priority.

Looking after your prostate health doesn’t have to be complicated. A simple PSA blood test can be an important first step in checking your prostate health and identifying whether any further investigation may be needed.

Prostate cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in Australian men, and your risk can increase with age or family history.

If you are due for a checkup or have been putting it off, September is a great reminder to have a chat with your GP about whether a PSA test is right for you.

New Norfolk Health Centre is located within the historic Royal Derwent Hospital precinct, an area with a rich history stretching back to 1827.

Over the generations, the precinct became an important part of New Norfolk and the wider Derwent Valley. The Royal Derwent Hospital operated for many years before closing in 2000, marking the end of a significant chapter in the area’s history.

Today, the precinct continues to evolve, with New Norfolk Health Centre now part of its chapter.

Your heart works hard every day, and looking after it is an important part of maintaining your overall health.

Regular health checks can help identify and manage risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and other conditions that may affect your heart health.

Small changes can also make a difference. Staying active, eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep and reducing smoking and alcohol consumption can all support a healthier heart.

Taking care of your heart today can support your health for years to come.
