Blue Butterfly Art Wellness is no longer offering art therapy sessions instead click to Southern Tasmania Plein Air Face Book Page where the focus is on personal wellness through enjoying an outdoor art activity. February's Plein Air activity was held at the historical village of Ross. It was a beautiful day for painting. Next month's venue is still to be decided. I look forward to meeting with you next month.

It is with regret that I announce that this year, I am having to close Blue Butterfly Art Wellness. I wish to thank everyone who has supported me in this role, and I do hope that sometime in the future, I may be able to take it on once again.

Blue Butterfly Art Wellness offers a plan of action for December and 2025. Art Therapy is a valuable tool, just like music therapy, their values are often diminished and misunderstood. Art therapy when delivered properly, can be a tool of great impact as it tackles the unconscious mind through images, feelings and emotions and can go deeper and be more effective than just words. Unlike Europe, in Australia, as a nation, we do not value, 'art' or 'music'. In our schools, art and music are secondary and often pushed to the side. In the playgrounds, our children are angry and confused and yet, if you get them something to draw or listen to music, you can see their bodies and mind begin to relax. This, as my grandmother would say, is because the Arts have the ability to pe*****te one's soul. Don't think twice about Art Therapy, just do it! This method is wonderful for those who struggle in expressing their feelings. You don't need any art skills. If you can hold a pencil, you can do art therapy. Blue Butterfly Art Wellness is offering an after-school art session open to all ages, every Tuesday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. It is limited to 10 participants only. Every week there will be a new skill or topic covered.
ONLY on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:00pm.
Cost $40 includes most art resources.
Bring your own afternoon tea and drink.
