Let's talk about yesterday....my goodness, where do I even begin?
There is something incredibly powerful about women coming together, sharing their stories, being heard, being seen and, most importantly, being held in a space where there is no judgment, just love, compassion and understanding.
Everyday women. Women just like you and me. Standing up, sometimes with trembling voices and a whole lot of courage, sharing pieces of their lives that haven't always been easy.
And let me tell you, there were tears. Lots of them. โค๏ธ
Because somewhere in every woman's story, you find a little piece of your own.
A reminder that we are all navigating something. That even on our hardest days, when we think we're barely holding it together, there are other women walking through their own storms, carrying things we may know absolutely nothing about.
And sometimes, hearing another woman's story reminds us that we're doing better than we give ourselves credit for.
But something else really stood out to me.
Ego has no place in a room like this. Love does. Support does. Humanity does.
It doesn't matter who you are, what you do, what you've achieved or where you've come from. Nobody is above anybody else.
Strip away the titles, the appearances, the social media profiles and all the bu****it we sometimes get caught up in, and underneath it all, we're simply human beings wanting to be seen, heard, loved and understood.
And THAT is what makes these gatherings so incredibly special.
Janae, thank you for creating such a beautiful, safe space for women to share their truth. What an honour and privilege it is to witness these stories, to sit amongst such courageous women and to be reminded of what genuine support really looks and feels like.
I honestly cannot wait for the next one. โค๏ธ
Because when women come together without comparison, competition or judgment, and simply hold space for one another, something beautiful happens.
We remember that we are not so different after all.
And every single one of our stories matters. โค๏ธ
