I just feel that the way we are in politics should reflect leadership and women should support each other I am not suggesting people or parties but more a sense of compassion in humanity and vulnerability not mockery of a Womens health issue no matter who it is. Leadership needs to display compassion and a common thread of humanity as examples to the younger generation coming through . This is not how we should treat each other with mockery over someone sharing and being bravely vulnerable.
I’ve been a long term advocate for women’s health being evidence based, respectful and dignified. There’s been a lot of silence around many aspects of women’s health especially our reproductive and sexual health.
Pauline Hanson’s One Nation have instead been disrespectful and undignified and discouraged women from speaking out in their mocking cartoon of Senator Jacqui Lambie’s courage in speaking of the impact of her vaginal prolapse.
In making a mockery of her they made a mockery of every woman who has experienced reproductive health issues.
While our politics might be different I say thanks to Senator Lambie for lifting the silence on this women’s health experience. And her ongoing advocacy in standing up to this atrocious cartoon
