Yesterday, I had the honour of supporting a man who was dying but I didn't know this at the time.
This was my third telepathic session with Adam.
He was in ICU, struggling to breathe, with an underlying heart condition.
I supported Adam to meet himself on a deeper level.
He had spent years judging, criticising, suppressing and abandoning himself.
In every session, there was a profound invitation back to self love, self care and self appreciation.
An invitation to see himself beyond the stories he had created over the years.
Yesterday, at 9am, during our final session he thanked me for being able to see his true nature, which he said was deep purple, hence my choice of picture for this post.
He also spoke about the importance of expressing his soul self.
And as I was processing the beliefs and core emotions that were not in alignment with his truth.
I repeatedly heard “I am love.”
For the first time, I felt a shift around Adam being deserving of medical intervention.
Deserving of care.
Deserving of self love.
Deserving of support.
That was significant, because this was a new identity for Adam.
Before this, he hadn't honoured or validated how he was authentically feeling.
His human didn't have the tools or strategies to process what was moving through him.
And this is something I see again and again in the work I facilitate.
When we don't have the capacity to feel, express or process what we're experiencing, we can become disconnected from ourselves.
Sometimes, that disconnection can be reflected in the body.
But I want to be very clear we are not our symptoms.
And I don't believe we should ever use someone's illness to create a story about what they did or didn't do emotionally.
Our bodies are complex.
Life is complex.
And death is not something I get to control.
As a practitioner, I don't play God.
I trust the outcome.
As their spiritual companion, I walk with them, creating the space for epic transformations that I know can happen in an instant...
sometimes, all it takes is one different choice.
Because we are our own healer our own medicine.
Straight after yesterday's session, Adam's physical body died.
I'll be honest, I was surprised when his sister contacted me to tell me.
As I create the time to reflect it reminded me of why I do this work.
Because I was able to share how Adam felt at the end of the session.
That he had moved beyond fear and into love.
That he had connected with his truth.
That there had been a profound shift towards allowing himself to receive care.
And this information brought incredible peace to her and their mum, when I shared with her.
They were given a glimpse into where Adam was emotionally and spiritually in those final moments.
His physical body died, but the LOVE doesn't die with the body.
Because the soul is eternal.
Their relationship doesn't simply disappear, it changes.
Adam will continue to walk with the people who love him in a different way.
And perhaps the greatest thing I witnessed in our final session was not death...
but Adam remembering that he was LOVE.
And perhaps, beneath everything we have been taught to believe about ourselves, this is the truth.
