Carefully controlled injury can give your skin a signal to repair and rebuild.

Microneedling creates tiny punctures or wounds in the skin while laser resurfacing uses targeted energy to create a controlled skin injury. These treatments activate the skins natural healing response, stimulating cells called fibroblasts to produce collagen the protein that gives skin structure and support support.

Over the following weeks and months collagen develops and remodels, which may improve skin texture, fine lines and the appearance of some scars.

The key is precision, appropriate treatment selection and time to heal. More trauma doesn’t mean more collagen or better results.

Rosacea is more than skin deep.

Redness, flushing, dryness and burning can affect your comfort and confidence. While rosacea has no cure, an individualised plan can help manage symptoms.

Start with the foundations:
▫️ Know your personal triggers.
▫️ Support your skin barrier with gentle, fragrance-free skin care.
▫️ Use broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily.
▫️ Seek advice for persistent or worsening symptoms.

For suitable patients, vascular laser may reduce visible facial vessels, while BBL/IPL may help reduce persistent background redness. Medical treatment may also be needed.

This post provides general education and does not replace individual medical advice. Assessment is required to confirm diagnosis and treatment suitability. Laser and BBL/IPL carry risks, including burns and pigment changes. Results vary, and multiple treatments and ongoing maintenance may be required. These treatments do not cure rosacea.

Plexr is a TGA approved, precise plasma-based treatment that may be considered for selected areas of mild skin laxity and fine lines, such as the upper or lower eyelid or around the eyes.

Although it does not involve a surgical incision, Plexr creates a controlled injury utilising a small electrical charge known as a plasma flash. The process effectively dissolves the top layer of the skin known as sublimation. The sublimation process generates an increase in fibroblast and collagen production and requires genuine healing time. Swelling and visible carbon crusts are expected, and there are risks including pigment changes, infection, delayed healing and scarring.

Plexr is not a substitute for surgical blepharoplasty, and the outcome will vary between individuals. Your suitability depends on factors including your skin type, medical history, medications, healing response and expectations.

A consultation allows us to discuss:

Your area of concern
Whether Plexr is suitable
Alternative treatment options
Expected downtime and aftercare
Potential risks and realistic outcomes
Costs

A non surgical solution for mild and moderate stress incontinence, vaginal tightening leading to increased sexual pleasure and menopausal associated vaginal dryness does exist.

The treatment works by stimulating the body’s own regenerative potential using photothermal technology that tightens the urethral and anterior bladder wall region. It is incisionless, minimally invasive and does not require the need for anaesthesia.

Boasting a high success rate, our treatment is safe, painless with no downtime.

Disclaimer:
Iindividual suitability, outcomes, recovery and experiences vary. A consultation and clinical assessment are required to determine whether this treatment may be appropriate for your individual circumstances. As with any medical or energy based procedure, risks, contraindications and potential side-effects will be discussed prior to treatment. Every face is different and treatment plans should reflect that individuality. Meaningful, natural results rarely don’t happen overnight.
In this carousel, I am sharing some of the conversations I have with patients every day:

* There is no universal solution.
* Good outcomes require patience.
* Skincare is the cornerstone of long term skin health.
* Safety and honest communication at non negotiable.

My role in cosmetic medicine extends far beyond performing procedures. It’s about educating, guiding, and supporting you so you can make informed decisions that align with your goals and overall well-being.

If you’re exploring cosmetic treatments, stay curious, ask thoughtful questions and choose an approach that feels considered, safe and right for you.

Ablative / Micro Core Laser isn’t “too aggressive”

1. Ablative/ Micro Core Laser is precise and controllable when correctly selected and delivered.
It remains a well-established option for addressing skin texture concerns, scarring, and collagen remodelling when used appropriately and conservatively.

2. Downtime is part of biology, not a complication.

Yes, recovery is expected.
No, it is not tissue damage when performed correctly.
Skin is a living organ with a natural healing response. Recovery time varies depending on treatment depth and individual factors.

3. One session doesn’t undo years of skin change

Ablative/ Micro Core laser can support meaningful skin improvement, but it works within biological limits.
Results develop progressively as collagen remodels over time.
Consistency and appropriate treatment planning matter more than intensity.
If you want collagen, texture improvement, scar repair, and long-term resilience - nothing in aesthetics outperforms a properly performed laser treatment.

4. Adverse outcomes are usually technique or selection related

Scary photos you see online? 99% are incorrect settings or wrong patients.
When treatment parameters, skin type, and wound healing principles are respected, complications are uncommon.
Burns, lines of demarcation, and pigment issues come from misuse - not the laser itself
Issues such as prolonged redness or pigment change are more often linked to inappropriate settings or patient selection, not the technology itself.

5. Ablative/ Micro Core Laser doesn’t replace surgery — it serves a different purpose

Surgical procedures address tissue position.
Ablative/ Micro Core laser addresses skin quality, structure, and thickness.
For many patients, it may help optimise skin health and delay the need for more invasive interventions — depending on individual goals and anatomy.

Individual outcomes vary. Treatment suitability and expected recovery are assessed during consultation.
