The grass was wet, the socks were soggy, but definitely no damp spirits this morning at Newport Lakes parkrun 409!

Thanks to all 84 of you sunny souls who came and make parkrun always such a great way to kick off the weekend!

Some great PBs on a wet course today, and I know for a fact there were a few more milestones and visitors than were shouted out this morning, but hey, at parkrun we're all about the quiet achievers as well as the ones who like the limelight. Remember - you do you - parkrun is always for everyone!

And again a huge thank you to my amazing vollie team today, it makes my job as RD so easy when you guys do all the heavy lifting for me! ;)

We still need plenty of volunteer roles in the coming months, please do send us a DM or an email if you are able to help make the magic happen!
