Ever felt a yearning for wholeness & to feel truly at home within, to know the vastness of your nature and step into that fullness? Kahuna Bodywork offers that opportunity for profound self discovery.

8yrs ago I stumbled upon a training that has become the foundation of my life.

Coming to learn a massage technique, what i discovered was a place where all previous modalities converged - my yoga, my meditation, my service and my dance.

Yes, i get to dance around the table and watch my clients melt back into themselves, a delightfully satisfying experience, but not the real reason I continue training year after year.

This is really about family - the essence of family; getting to know the family within my flesh, my lineage and how I carry my ancestors, learning how to take care of those i love and navigate situations with more grace & ease, recognising my place in the great ‘Ohana Nui, the world family.

Kahuna Bodywork is a powerful practice for understanding our relationship to all things, especially ourselves.

The bodywork follows as a natural extension of the training - a gift that just keeps giving.

These photos are from a workshop back in 2021.

We started flying at 3.30am, so dark we could barely see. We flew for over 5hrs then carried on with our daily tasks as usual, all that motion swelling inside.

It was an incredible experience of overcoming perceived limitations and recognising the abundant resources available when we move with ease.

Learning Kahuna Bodywork is a martial art style training, an energy discipline of relaxation & focus organising body, mind and spirit towards wholeness and ease.

In constant motion tiredness can be a great teacher, teaching us to let go and simplify.

Ease guides us to drop whatever thoughts or conditions are holding us back, to stop being afraid, to trust ourselves and dare to explore the entirety of our being and the spaces we inhabit.

Rhythm is key - moving in rhythm with the moment and learning to shift frequency as required.

This is the practice of Ka’alele’au, the Navigator’s Flight. A movement practice for engaging an optimal navigation system for any situation we may encounter.

I am delighted to be sharing this movement practice in regular morning workshops Mona Vale
