🌿 **We’re Hiring: Co-Resident – 3 Nights Per Week | Maroochydore** 🌿
Sunshine Coast Individualised Living Limited is seeking a kind, easy-going and empathic female to provide day and overnight support to a lovely lady in her early 60s with early onset dementia, living in her own home in Maroochydore.
This is a **part-time co-resident role, 3 nights per week**:
🕒 **Thursday 3.00pm to Friday 9.00am**
🕒 **Friday 3.00pm to Sunday 9.00am**
💰 **$62,868.00 per year**
Plus the bonus of a **Salary Sacrifice package up to $18,550 per year** to help maximise take-home pay.

The role involves supporting her independence while providing the care and assistance needed to ensure her safety, health and wellbeing in her own home.
**About the Role**
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting with self-care and daily living activities, including prompting and assistance as needed.
• Helping manage and attend appointments, providing companionship and support.
• Assisting with domestic duties involved in running a small home, including cleaning, meal planning and preparation, food shopping and laundry.
• Ensuring the lady stays safe, healthy and happy in her own home.
• Supporting an active lifestyle, including outdoor walks and activities.
• Fostering a meaningful connection, respecting her independence and encouraging social interactions.
**The Ideal Candidate**
We are looking for someone who is:
• Nurturing, patient, kind and resilient.
• Experienced in support work or a caring role, preferred but not essential.
• Comfortable providing support and physical assistance with personal care, including toileting and other hands-on personal care tasks when required.
• Able to provide assistance during overnight shifts, including responding to personal care needs throughout the night.
• Active, nature-loving and enjoys being outdoors, walking and staying busy.
• Comfortable around animals, particularly cats, and willing to assist with the care of the participant’s pet cat, including feeding and administering medication as required.
• A great communicator with a sense of humour and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
• Able to work harmoniously and collaboratively as part of a supportive team of support workers and maintain positive relationships with the participant’s 4-night co-resident.
• Someone who can balance providing support while empowering the lady to live as independently as possible.
In return, you will be provided with a substantial fortnightly salary and 4 weeks leave per year.
You will provide live-in support every morning, afternoon/evening, on weekends and public holidays, if the public holiday falls within the hours described above.
**Essential Criteria**
Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain:
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• High level of initiative and great problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to view people with disability as valued individuals with human rights.
• Commitment to a person-centred approach.
• Certificate in disability work, aged care or desire to obtain.
• Smartphone with internet access and ability to send short reports as emails.
• Current NDIS Worker Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid Certificate with CPR, or willingness to obtain.
• National Police Check obtained within the last 12 months.
• Valid Queensland Driver Licence and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
• Ability to work in Australia with no restrictions on hours.
• Ability to commit to the same time and days each week.
