Today had some of the Lifetime Support Authority - LSA team out touring the new Adelaide Aquatic Centre and learning more about the work Determined2 does including Immersion Therapy with an underwater session via our Give-It-A-Go FUNdRaiser program.

We have a long standing relationship with the LSA being the first statutory personal injury insurer to fund Immersion Therapy way back in 2015, since then they have supported the ongoing research of the service which includes a published thesis and current clinical trials.

Their support has guided the evolution and quality of our work from conception to now and we are very grateful for that continued support 💚💙💜

The Lifetime Support Authority plan and fund person-centred treatment, care and support services for people who are very seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents in South Australia, regardless of fault. Very serious injuries include brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, burns and blindness.

James takes the gong for D2! 🏆
Last week, our very own members, James and Jaz, headed over to the Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) conference right here in Radelaide.

As a finalist for the Practice, Innovation & Excellence Award, James was invited to present on the impact of Immersion Therapy. We are beyond excited to share that he took out the award for Best Presentation for his talk, "Immersion Therapy: A Specialist Aquatic Therapy Service for People with Complex Disability." 🥇

We are so proud of James for stepping onto the big stage and shining a light on the innovative, game-changing work we do every day. It’s a huge win for the team and the community we support! 😍💪

Great to spend the last couple of days at the Adelaide Careers and Employment Expo in support of the Department for Education, South Australia Student Pathway Program.
Good to catch up with the team from Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation SA Branch who we work closely with supporting students studying cert III Allied Health Assistant (AHA)
