I cannot recommend this book by enough!!! A kind ๐Ÿ’•, comprehensive, evidence based guide on the safe use of GLP-1 medications to tackle the chronic relapsing disease, obesity.

So refreshing to hear her pull together all the evidence and guide those living with or treating obesity. Having worked in this space for over 27years, this book is just music to my ears.

The fear mongering at the moment is at an all time high. It really grates my gears when it comes from individuals without expertise in this space. Management of this DISEASE is so much more than eat less & move more. Be careful where you source your info from.

She also discusses the importance of fat & visceral fat mass loss and preserving muscle mass ๐Ÿ’ช through regular monitoring use of body composition analysis. I have a InBody 570 device in both my Eastwood & North Adelaide rooms as prevention of sarcopaenia is one of my primary goals.

Feels great to be back out walking Lofty again. I pushed super hard until I had nothing left in the tank. Why do I love it so much?

Perimenopause is a never ending rollercoaster for me๐ŸŽข I can survive it that much better if I schedule in at least 150 min moderate intensity activity (or 75 min vigorous) and at least 2 strength classes per week working all the major muscle groups.

Most importantly it helps me to sleep better ๐Ÿ˜ด so I have less brain fog, less overwhelm and anxiety & to temper that at times raging appetite. I think my teenagers may find me a more reasonable Mum when I work out.

I am also working on my muscles and strength to supercharge my metabolism, minimise fat gain (especially visceral fat gain) and optimise my heart and bone health.
