Well we have come a long way from where we first started.
My daughter and I started this venture back in 2017.. we were only doing our packaged coffee bags and had them in a few exclusive shops. However Dad stepped in and gave us the idea and the funds to start our own coffee van.
I remember sitting down at south wall all day and the most I would make was $180 a day. Out of that I had to pay for coffee, milk cups etc. my husband told me I was going backwards.. but I believed in it.
Then my daughter moved to Brisbane and I became an empty nester.
I got lucky and was asked to move to the uni to do coffees and lunches while the cafe was being renovated. It was during this time I learnt a lot about business. Yep there were so many challenges. So many things learnt.. but I stuck at it.
Once we were done at the uni I set up with the beautiful people at Rooney Glass. The Rooney family were so accomodating and helpful.
Then on my way home I had a flat tyre and pulled into Watsons leisure centre. That’s when I asked if I could set up my coffee van there! When I very first started I was doing 4kgs of coffee a week. Now we do approx 42kgs a week. So grateful for everyone that supports us.
So grateful to our suppliers, and to Watsons and to all of our customers. A very big thank you to all of the staff that have worked for me. I cannot even count the amount of staff that my small business has put bread on the tables for their families. . Particularly Liz who has been with me for 9 years!
We have been through fires, pandemics, floods.. and we still opened 😂
If we have ever made you happy, changed your day, or you simply believe that we deserve to be recognised we would be so grateful if you would contemplate nominating us for a small business award. Click the link below in the comment section 😘🥰🙏🏼🙌
